Our first WP7 app is the PPCGeeks News App that will let you follow mobile/smartphone news from our homepage, link to our site, Twitter, and Facebook pages. You can read full articles from the app too! You cannot comment on articles, but you can tag them as favorites. The app just pulls from our RSS feeds, so its read-only. We’ve all seen some crazy lawsuits in the past. Everything from spilled coffee to burgalers suing homeowners when they became injured trying to rob the home. But this may take the cake. If there was any doubt in your mind that Apple was only after the money, this should clear it up.
Apple is suing Amazon over the name of the Amazon Appstore. Apple claims that Amazon using the word “App” in their store title will cause confusion among users and will cause irrepreitable damage and cause them to lose clients. They claim that customers will be unclear by the store name.
Only a few short months after Mozilla released the final build of Firefox 4 for Android, we now have Firefox 5, just added to the Android Market for the taking. Mobile web browsers can often be a little disappointing, but Mozilla is making great efforts into bringing its Firefox browser up to the desktop edition’s standards. The Android version of the app boasts an impressive feature set that sounds more reminiscent of desktop software, minus one important feature in my book.
