What’s More Secure? iOS or Android?

So it seems Symantec did an independent study of mobile operating systems. They attempted to measure how secure Apple’s iOS and Google’s Android platforms are, and also determine how the mobile systems stack to today’s desktop operating systems. Symantec claims that these mobile platforms are much more secure than today’s popular desktop operating systems, though the firm does suggest that the key variable as always is the “human element”.

Today seems to be some sort of Windows Phone 7 News day; what do I mean? Well it appears that we have been given the names of the next Windows Phone update names. Microsoft is rolling Mango out this fall that is to bring over 500 new features to Windows Phone 7. But reports are that they are already working on other major updates for the platform as well.

HTC Evo View 4G: Used To Announce 2011 BET Award Winners

With this being the year of the Tablets, BET Awards went along with the trend. The presenters used the HTC Evo View 4G from Sprint to reveal the winners rather than the traditional envelopes of yesteryear.
BET worked its way into a major social media rampage leading up to Sunday night’s BET AWARDS 2011, with plans including on-air Twitter and Facebook integration, a “social media lounge” on premises hosted by Lala and a car giveaway for fans that use a secret hashtag, #BETAwards. Another “secret” hashtag was also introduced at the top of the show.

Nokia Windows Phone 7: First Look

Fellow PPCgeekers and readers, we present you to the very first Nokia WP7 device. Introduced by no other than Stephen Elop, CEO of Nokia. Ex-Microsoft employee Elop, paused his presentation to ask the crowd of bloggers and journalists to “put away their cameras” as he was going to show them something “super confidential.” Despite his confidentiality plea someone couldn’t resist the temptation and shared a few photos and a quick video they captured.
