We’ve heard rumors about Microsoft’s “6 Weeks Of Must-Have Games” promotion, but we never got a solid date. There were rumors that Angry Birds would be released for Windows Phone 7 on May 25th. For those of you on Verizon who have been waiting for a Windows Phone 7 device, your wait is finally over. Verizon has announced that the HTC Trophy will be available on May 26th for $149.99 (2-year contract and $50 mail-in rebate). If you buy before July 15th, it looks like you can also get a free XBox game (up to a $60 value), including Halo: Reach, Kinect Sports, and Lode Runner. Read more…
REJOICE Sprint users – for once in a lifetime Sprint has rolled out an update the in the same month it was release! Yes Sprint users can start expecting a Security Update. Now with that said we are betting it is the 7.0.7392.0 update that Microsoft has been working on and released in May.
Its time to say goodbye to an old friend…The Windows Mobile Marketplace is apparently no longer accepting new app submissions as of July 15th. There hasn’t been an official statement by Microsoft yet, but Edgeway Software has made an MSDN forum post stating that Microsoft is sending out letters to developers. The Marketplace will still be open for users and there will still be paid apps, just don’t expect anything new.
Wirexgroup has made available a silicon case for the Galaxy S 2 and with it reveals that AT&T, Sprint and Verizon are all getting their hands on a Galaxy S 2. And as before, each carrier chose to give it their own names.
RIM (Research in Motion) recently recalled around 1,000 Blackberry PlayBook tablets due to some devices having a defective build of the operating system. Most of these were unsold units and were at Staples stores thankfully.

Starting tomorrow T-Mobile customers will have access to a new feature that will allow Wi-Fi calling capable devices to make and receive phone calls for free. These calls will not use your calling minutes. In other words, they will be unlimited calls and that’s very exciting news!!
OK so I know this is not cell phone news – but this does impact us in the mobile world. Skype is to be bought out by Microsoft. This news comes after rumors yesterday of Skype taking offers. The total cost of the Skype buyout is $8.5 billion dollars.

Windows Phone 7 Mango update has just had some features leaked that I thought we would all like to know about. It does seem Microsoft is actually listening to people and working to improve their OS. With Mango being the BIGGEST update for Windows Phone 7 to this point, we have some sweet tropical leaks that make us all salivate over the new features.

We are back to announce that the Humans vs Aliens game is spreading their exciting game to another operating system, Blackberry OS. UPDATE: According to this article, people are saying the Marketplace is back online. It was down for about 7 hours, and there hasn’t been an official statement from Microsoft as to what caused the outage.
