Rumor: HTC Desire To At&t, HTC Hero2 To Sprint?
Earlier this month, we reported on some new HTC devices hitting the market this year, which included the HTC Desire and HTC Legend. BGR is reporting, from a source close to HTC, that the HTC Desire is headed to At&t while Sprint is getting the Hero2. The Desire is supposedly heading to At&t around May or June and may have some physical difference from the HTC model (finishes, color, etc).
The Hero2 is actually the HTC Legend we've heard about, except modified to Sprint's liking, similar to how the original Hero was. There's no reported arrival time for this one though, so we'll have to sit tight and wait.

WTF is this? Where is the Supersonic?
hehe i tipped on the HTC Hero2 about a month ago to frosty here, glad to see it materialize a bit further
why does sprint get the crappier one of the two??? we get 600mhz and they get 1ghz Snapdragon?? I really hope Sprint gets the Supersnic or there will defenetly be dissapointed customers
exactly one of the problems on the android platform, it lacks some kind of high end uniformity, I think they plan for you to upgrade when your processor becomes a bottleneck, to reinvest in the new platform as you go, essentially what companies have done in the past, without hardware base requirements
if thats the case i wont be upgrading from my hero… no reason to. with this i may trade to verizon since sprint no longer gets top of the line hardware like they used to…
This actually makes me believe even more strongly that the Supersonic is coming to Sprint. First, they already announced that thery will be getting a WiMax phone. Second, the Supersonic has the Snapdragon which will beat the legend and match the Desire and a bigger AMOLED screen, which will top it. I think there will be a huge rollout announcement from Sprint in March or April, with shipping in June or so.
Supersonic will come to Sprint. It just matters when. The manager I spoke with said end of Q1 it was initially supposed to be released, but you know how that works it will probably get delayed til August or later.
while making a trip from elk city, ok to show low, az i stopped into a sprint store in amarillo, tx and asked what new devices were coming. i was told a google phone like the hero is coming in june.
