With the recent announcement of Verizon giving up on the Nexus One in favor of its HTC Droid Incredible, it looks like Sprint may be doing the same thing in favor of its upcoming HTC Evo 4G. Even though Sprint had an official press release back in March, announcing the Google Nexus One is coming, Sprint’s Michelle Leff Mermelstein told Gizmodo that the company wouldn’t be selling the Nexus One because of the “upcoming availability of the award-winning Evo 4G,” it didn’t change much for your average user.
There hasn’t been an official press release from either Sprint or Google yet, so this still falls into the rumor category for now.
