Windows Phone 7 Series Build 7.0.0.6077 Extracted

While we can't use it on our devices, it may offer some more insight into Windows Phone 7 Series and may reveal details that Microsoft hasn't released yet. This build was extracted from the emulator that was released yesterday at MIX10. The build date is March 2, 2010 and it will only run on x86 machines. Maybe, just maybe, someone will be able to port this for our devices, but even if they can't, it will give us something to watch until the official release.

Calk, we needs you!
Adrenaline, come try this!
If you read the xda thread up and down, it’s pretty interesting.
I thought it was already confirmed that this is just from the emulator that comes with the SDK- not an actual device?
@SaltyDawg – Exactly, I said that in the article too, its from the emulator that was released yesterday and is dated March 2nd.
yea…. expect the fake takedown notices when roms start popping up,,,,,
The full emulator (with all applicaiton functionality) is due out in April. That’s the one that will have the good stuff in it. When that one comes out, then things will get interesting.
Lets hope that when the real one comes out they change this nonsense of not allowing memory cards to work on any windows 7 phones. Microsoft is going the way of the old sprint except microsoft hasn’t turned it around yet. Sprint was smart by jumping on the android train.
Yea, even though I can’t put it on my phone, I would love to get my hands on the emulator to play with it to see really where they are going.
It’s one thing to see a video of it and another to see how well it really flows in the real world with you controling it.
Hey someone hook me up with this on my Touch Pro! Very unrealistic I know but god what a dream!!!
more like a nightmare lol
Not sure where you got the idea that it could run on a real phone. An x86 image is x86 code, not ARM.
windows 95 for ppc is floating around somewhere so why not this?
