Microsoft resending updates to Samsung Windows Phone 7 devices
Were you among the several Samsung Windows Phone 7 users with complaints about the first update Microsoft sent your device? Were you one of the users who never got the update to go through? If so, the complaints have been heard and the problems are being solved. Microsoft is currently resending the February update to Samsung phones as well as continuing to send the update to other Windows Phone models.
If you haven't received the second update yet, be patient. It's on a certain schedule to hit all devices soon. Keep your eyes open for the update notification. The Windows Team assures you that they are committed to learning from their first update and improving the process. "We know we have work to do, and we won’t be satisfied until you are."
Did you experience a failed update on your Samsung Windows Phone 7 device? If so, have you gotten the second one yet and how do you like it?

Hmmm I see they have screwed the pooch on the first go round.
I wonder what Eric and Itster will have to say about that!
@Asphyx, almost seems like you are enticing us to a flame war. anyway only 100 people with samsung devices were affected, samsung has also had problems with updates on their android devices as well and speaking of android 250,000 people got hit with viruses last week. thats 3 more figures than the amount of people affected by this update
@Asphyx, honestly, you’re way too uneducated in this business.
Man, you guys got serious issues…
Back to the topic…
I am glad that the Arrive is going to come out with the update already on it so that I dont run the risk of bricking my device… jejeje…
Seriously though, even though it hit just a few people, with the slow takeoff of the platform and the struggle Microsoft is having to succeed, something like this hurts the brand big time…
This is something that Microsoft should have NOT overlooked at this time, when WP7 is trying to establish a name for itself… I understand that other platforms have had their issues at the beginning too but… This is not them… Microsoft has already had the experiences of updating devices in the mobile world… This is the last thing people could expect and if I were Microsoft, would be a little embarrased this occurred…. Its such a stupid thing to have overlooked and its going to make it that much harder for WP7 to climb up that hill…
Hope they become like the little engine that could!!! They’ve been having a rough start and mistakes are definately not good news but… I can dream cant I??? jejeje
@mapaz04, these snags are normal in any platform simply because of download corruption issues. remember when apple was bricking iphone left and right with their ios 2 update? tons of iphones and ipods had to be exchanged because of wifi issues after the update.
this is normal, but it gets blown out of proportion as usual
@itster, yea the double standard against MS. par de cabrones
