Sprint News Release : Nexus One Coming To Sprint

Well what do we have here? It looks like every carrier is jumping on the Nexus One bandwagon lately, Sprint being the latest. In a Sprint news release today, Sprint has announced that the Google Nexus One device will be arriving on the Sprint network, although a release date has not been decided upon.
Sprint, in the process has decided to throw a few jabs at their competitors with the following quote in the press release:
Nexus One(TM) is planned for the Sprint Mobile Broadband Network with twice the network coverage of AT&T and ten times the network coverage of T-Mobile, both by square miles; Expands Sprint's Android(TM) portfolio
So the question now for everyone is, Who here is still waiting for the HTC SuperSonic? or will you jump on the Nexus One bandwagon? Be sure to leave your comments below.

Let me guess, NO for SERO right?
hah! Probably not!

Does the Supersonic really matter if you don’t have access to 4G service in your area? I live in Tennessee and am not sure how high on the list I am for getting 4G. Does anyone know how fast 4G is supposed to roll out? I hate to hold my breath after how long it took to get an update for the HTC Touch Pro 2 on Sprint.
Which one is better? Supersonic or the Nexus One?
i’d wait for the supersonic…. larger screen and htc customizations like Sense. Supposed to be announced at CTIA later this month. But it’s good to see Sprint is keeping up with the other carriers. Thought i’d have to see the hero and moment until supersonic.
sprint in stepping it up yay
when’s the supersonic with keyboard coming out? ie. touch pro 3?
@MightyMike –
no worries MM ! wish you would jump to android
Damn……..decisions decisions.
@freeza – I know what you mean, I promised myself I wouldn’t do anything until windows mobile 7 was released but damn, damn, damn.
only reason i would pick supersonic over TP2 is the 4.3″ screen, N1 has the same screen as TP2 and no hardware keyboard – will pass
N1 is great… I love mine…. although its .1 inches bigger than the tp2, the capacitive screen makes it easy to type on…. 4.3 is huge after seeing the hd2 in person…
@donnatn – you have a good point but… the larger screen with htc sense is enough for me to wait for the supersonic depending on when they plan to release it and if sprint charges extra for wimax/4g
Thats my question. Will there be extra charge to have a 4g phone? I hope not. The everything plans should take care of any of that just like back in the day analog users just had to change plans. I’m no pro on this so if someone has concrete evidence on this let us know.
The nexxus looks nice but the supersonic like someone said has htc sense and all the cool htc enhancements. Maybe the TP3 will have an android variant since microsoft looks like they are going to screw up w7. I’m jumping over to android.
I’m waiting for the supersonic, I’m jumping platform from my winmo tp2.
I don’t like what microsoft is doing with all this WP7 shit.
has anyone tried to add sense to a nexus? also, I wish it would come with the optical trackball like the legend. actually, just give me a legend on sprint and I’ll be happy
@juddrl –
I mean optical mouse. d’oh
I played with the Samsung Moment for a while… Now I love my TP2 but that phone was a dream come true. Except for the battery life.. If the Nexus One had a keyboard, I’d sell my car for one.. Until then the Nexus One is “1″ feature short for me…
