Looks like HTC’s Leo will be the first Windows Mobile smartphone to feature a capacitive touchscreen and multi-touch capabilities (see video below) ala our friends at Apple and their iPhone.
Previous WM smartphones offered resistive screens that you could use with a styli, gloves, toes, and whatever object you had nearby. Capacitive screens, on the other hand, allows multi-touch but can be less accurate and requires a different user interface.

Its good to see someone testing out the features of this beast of a phone. I’m buying this once it drops stateside. I was impressed when he zoomed in while a video was playing.

I don’t think it will, apple sells more then just a phone with the iPhone they sell an ‘idea’
WinMo focuses on finctionallity and features, because of this it wont sell more.
But the WinMo Marketplace will certainly help, I think.
I don’t care if Apple sells more or not. Let the kids have their gadgets, I can do more work in less time on my TP than I ever could on an Iphone. Do you suppose Leo will be the phone that introduces WM 6.5?
Can you use a stylus with this screen? I really hope so…
The way this phone has been popping up on engadget mobile over the last few weeks i wouldnt be surprised if this wouldnt be windows flagship phone for 6.5 and its marketplace. Maybe i’m crazy but i hope i am so i can replace this Htc Touch i’ve been draggin around for the last 2 years. Goin from 2.8 resistive to 4.3 capacitive, i dont mind at all.
anyone know what carier will carry the leo
