How many AT&T customers will leave for Verizon iPhone? Estimates are high!

The Verizon Wireless iPhone rumors have been going for long enough. Recently reported by Bloomberg was that the time is near for us to finally see the official Verizon Wireless iPhone. They report that the introduction of the Verizon iPhone will come after next week’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, according to their tipster.

There’s more! The most interesting part of the article is what everyone’s talking about. Some analysts are already predicting the number of AT&T customers who they think will switch to Verizon for its new iPhone. Keep reading, they have some pretty interesting predictions.

In the Bloomberg article John Hodulik, an analyst at UBS AG in New York, is saying that 2.3 million would switch from AT&T to pick up a Verizon iPhone. Hodulik expects AT&T would sell 8.8 million iPhones in 2011 (down from 15.6 million in 2010) and that Verizon would sell 13.3 million. He continues to say that even if AT&T loses more than twice as many customers as Hodulik projects, the carrier will not suffer a fatal blow. That’s great news for AT&T in this case!

What we don’t know is where these numbers come from? The survey results weren’t given or announced that we could find so don’t take these numbers too seriously. Of course they do say these are expected numbers so time will tell what will really happen. For now let us know what you think.
