Verizon Wireless expanded their markets with the “Unlimited Any Mobile” tests

Targeting Sprint it seems, Verizon Wireless has just recently expanded the testing markets for their very own “Unlimited any mobile” service feature. “Unlimited any mobile” is Verizon’s version of what Sprint recently started offering which consists of free mobile to mobile phone calls with any carrier, not just themselves. Verizon started testing this new service first back in August in some areas of Texas and Louisiana. Currently they have expanded now reaching out to to Arkansas, Oklahoma, Mississippi, West Tennessee, Pensacola, Florida and Mobile, Alabama. Things must be working out great so far for them to be expanding already!

“With the holiday season just around the corner, we believe it’s a great opportunity to offer consumers this Unlimited Any Mobile plan,” said Verizon spokeswoman Sheryl Sellaway. “Our customers want the best value for their wireless contracts and we’re listening by offering this promotion.”

According to fiercewireless, Verizon’s “Unlimited Any Mobile” trial offering adds the unlimited calling function to five standard calling plans, which start at $59.99 for 450 anytime minutes on a single line and $99.99 for 700 anytime minutes on a family line. Current Analysis said the trial offerings are available starting today through year-end. The initial tests in Texas and Louisiana were set to expire at the end of this month. Verizon also has tested a postpaid plan that offers unlimited talking, texting and data for $99 per month, and is rumored to be unveiling today tiered pricing for its smartphone data plans.

These tests are part of a wide range of pricing moves by the nation’s largest wireless carrier who is always looking for ways to improve their network, customer service and much more. We can’t tell you that you will definitely be able to get these plans one day but knowing they have expanded the test market sure does give us more hope that these may be successful plan changes one day. We can only keep our fingers crossed! When we hear of more news we will let you know. For now, tell us what you think.
