PPCGeeks likes to browse the what’s new in the Android market and share new apps with their users when we find something useful. One application just in, HostEye Lite, seems to be a great tool for on-the-go mobile professionals. Now you ask what is HostEye Lite? This application is what the title says, it keeps an eye on your hosts.
In more detail, this application checks service status at given ports while you are on the road, in a meeting or on a vacation. As long as you have your Android device with you, you have an eye on your critical servers and know what services are up and running or down. There are email alerts that you can setup so that you know immediately when something happens to one of your servers. This seems like a pretty cool application for those that constantly have to check on their servers.
We haven’t heard any reviews on how well the application is working but we do know they have already updated to the newest version, 1.3 on October 7, 2010.
