Meet the First Ever WP7 Mango Smart Phone!
Fujitsu Toshiba Mobile has stepped up to the plate big time to release the first ever Mango WP7 device to Japanese customers, and hopefully the rest of the planet.
It's called the Windows Phone IS12T, and looks to be a really aesthetic device. It runs vanilla Mango with zero modifications to the system (i.e. no bloatware). This has everything we've loved about Mango so far such as IE9 and multimedia playback capabilities. Check out some of the specs on this bad boy!
*MSM8655 CPU running at 1ghz
*3.7" WVGA
*13.2 megapixel camera
* 32 GB internal storage
*water proof
*dust resistant
Fujitsu does note regarding the last 2 specs:
"IPX5/8 water resistance: Please ensure that the cap and battery covers are firmly closed. Users should refrain from immersion in seawater, pool water, and hot spring water. Users should also refrain from using while bathing in hot springs or water using bath salts, as well as extended use in water."
The phone will be out starting today in Japan, and it comes in three colors: citrus, magenta, and black!
What do you think of this device? Is MS starting to entice you?

@darren.wlsn1, Yeah after the HD2 I could never go under 4.3″ again.
I’d get this phone in black for my dad, but it is missing a few specs that I’m really wishing for in my future Windows Phone. He needs the toughness, but always complains of the horrible cameras on the g’zones.
finally resistance isn’t futile.
also wonder about that name… awfully close to id10t

@shaggylive, nowhere near unless of course you have problems spelling it.
looks good !
Neat, but I still want a 4″ model.
I like that Citrus color. Looks good. It would have to come to Sprint for me to be interested though.
What’s with all the WP7 phones being 3.7in???? Can we get some 4.3, high end, dual core, 4G/LTE smartphones MS/Nokia??? Like, before we die??? PLEASE???

@kvictor017, I’d settle for a single core1.5 ghz WP7 phone. My sister has the Trophy (which is only 1 ghz) and I’ve never noticed (and she has never complained about) it being laggy. I’d want the 1.5, though, just in case the app switching in Mango would stress it more.
I’d definitely be alright with 4G capability and a larger screen, though. A FFC wouldn’t kill me, either. Oh, and a high quality camera is a must, since I’m actually pretty ashamed of my sister’s.

@kvictor017, wp7 isn’t Android,it doesn’t need all that to provide a great experience. even the 3G is fast enough for almost all streaming activities.
Speechless… I’d buy a 5″ tomorrow?? All that technology & they forget the market survey?!!
I think MS is way too late in the game now…they should just let it go… most developers are working on IOS or Android..even people like me waited and waited for a descent wp7 device…. but now… do you seriously want an OS that only a few devs are coding for?,webOS any one?

@oppman,
First of all, the WP Marketplace is growing at a very steady rate.
Second, no, they shouldn’t… and they won’t… because it would be sacrificing a very significant market, which is something no competent business would do.
Third, Microsoft has never “got it right” on their first effort. It always takes them 2-3 attempts to get there, and Mango is round 2.
Poor phone. It could use a good scrubbing with the cleansing soap of the real Windows Mobile or Android. Such fine hardware could do so much…
