PPCGeeks has found out a new device is on the way to Verizon Wireless. This new HTC Lexikon is going to be a great addition to the current Android devices with it’s 3.8″ display screen and 480X800 WVGA display resolution. The Lexikon is said to be an Android 2.2-powered, device with a QWERTY keyboard. Best of all it does include HTC Sense for those wondering. It has been rumored that this will also be a Verizon Wireless LTE device. We will find out when it hits the markets that’s for sure. Below are the specs that have been leaked out onto the internet. PPCG hopes to get their hands on one and get a review done for our members to have a closer look at the new device. With specs like this, it seems the Lexikon may be on its way to being HTC’s next mid-level Android phone.

Boo Boo Boo….I hate Android. Why does PPCGeeks keep posting Android info. We should only be talking about WP7 and how awesome it is going to be. We should be ignoring all current trends in the smartphone market.
Microsoft is the coolest and bestest company in the world. I love them and I will always love them. Google is dumb-dumb stupid and Apple is only for posers.
(just saving you fanboys the trouble)
[...] This post was mentioned on Twitter by Straitup27, PPCGeeks.com. PPCGeeks.com said: New Article at PPCGeeks.com http://tinyurl.com/22vxj8x Verizon is getting a new Android device. Check it out!!! [...]
@sbrown2680 – But M$ specifically stated they don’t want WP7 to be considered a PPC :/
WP7 is already the best O/S out there!!! You fandroids are going to eat your words! All the youtube videos makes all other mobile O/S obsolete! To clarify I’m not a WP7 fanboy, don’t want anyone to get me twisted. But WP7 is superior! =D
Who wants an 800 Mhz phone? C’mon, 1 gig or better from now on I would think. It’s like moving in Molasses or something. I picked up a Hero and Moment the other day and thought I’d die while waiting for a program to open up. I’m too spoiled I guess with my Epic, LOL.
I agree! 1 gig or better for processors.. but what can i say thats HTC for you..
HTC really missing thet boat on this one…..why would any device manufacture drop a sub 1ghz phone these days……prediciton: not going to be a fast moving phone.
@ace741 – Then why are you using youtube and not bing’s video service?
I think they are releasing 800mhz to make it a free phone…it may also have something to do with their new stance on not requiring Data Plans..this may be one of those multimedia phones that does not require a data plan..
Maybe HTC trying to get as many HTC phones on verizon before they get the Iphone hehehe
Don’cha love how the M$ fanboys always want to claim that they’re not fanboys. Anybody that wants to state that an OS that isn’t even on the market yet is superior to ANYTHING is the definition of fanboy in the purest form.
@sbrown LOL that’s what I said. But I got called a moron for that. Oh, and I ride the short bus. They hurt my feelings :’( LOL.
@sbrown – Were going to write about any new device, no matter what os it is so we can keep our users informed on what’s coming. Hope you don’t mind
I do have my eyes on the WP7 section and also there has been an article recently on it so I didn’t have much more to say as of yet. Keep checking for articles on WP7 soon!!
@nvmyc I understand where you’re coming from on the 800 mhz part! Like gTen stated and I did as well in the article that this is a mid-level device. There’s definitely a reason why they didn’t put 1gb processor and we will find out when it hits markets. I bet gTen is correct, it’s probably for pricing.
I think both sides of the arguement, for or against WinMo7, should step back and wait for the finished product to come out. The reason why a lot of Android, and Android related information is coming out is due to the fact that Android is the only current popular OS that is being released on new phones.
Apple’s OS for their cell phone is only put out in the IPhone. WinMo7 won’t be out until sometime in 2011, (CDMA series atleast), RiM has just reinvented it’s BlackBerry OS, and as you can see, it’s only for the BB. So the only other VERY popular OS steadily being released is Android 2.2. So, that’s basically the only news you’ll see in the upcoming new phones.
So sit back and relax, WinMo7, or Windows Phone 7, will be here when it gets here. I, for one, hope that it does well, as I do enjoy my WinMo Diamond…..yes, I said Diamond.
@Beowolf72 –
I completely agree 100% I was simply trying to make light of the screaming minority that seems to get their panties in a wad anytime any thing is posted about any other OS than WP7.
The fact is there is plenty of room in the market for all OS developers. New and better technology is good for everyone. I don’t care if it is made my Microsoft, Google, Apple, Palm, Blackberry, or your friggin’ grandma. If it is quality and pushes the envelope, bucks trends, or just gets the other companies to notice then it’s good for EVERYONE.
It just drives me nuts how some people are so quick to judge anything. WP7 may (and possibly will) be great. But until the finished product is in the hands of the consumers we won’t know. Also, it may be the greatest OS in the world but unless it’s adopted by the masses it will flounder and Microsoft will bail on it if they fail to generate any revenue with it.
While I may dislike a certain companies marketing strategy there is no reason to think that their product is garbage or that their users are idiots. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Competition in the market is a good thing. There is plenty of room in the sandbox for MS, Apple, Google, Rim, and anyone else to play nice. Unless one of these companies are paying your salary quit following any of them like you are mindless sheep. There’s nothing wrong with owning a Windows PC, an iPod, and an Android phone (or any combination of the above.) None of these companies give a crap about any of us individually so lets drop the “fanboy” mentality and just buy what we like.
Well said sbrown and Courtney1985. Good responses without insulting anyone. BTW Courtney, sbrown was being sarcastic in his first post as was I. Keep up the good work!
Maybe those WP7 fanboys on here making all the noise are really just Microsoft employees and thus want to put their product in a good light. I know for a fact there are some M$ employees who contribute to this site.
The list of idiots just keeps growing!

@itster – and why exactly are you insulting people for no reason at all?
@itster –
itster,
Since we are all idiots and you are obviously so intelligent. Please inform me what I said that was so idiotic. I would like to know exactly what I wrote that would be so ignorant or to justify calling me an idiot. Please feel free to reference anything I have previously stated.
I only ask that you only make reference to my comments and do not blame me for someone else’s post.
Please inform me how (in my opinion) wanting the entire market needs to move forward is beneficial for everyone. Please inform me how stating how Microsoft taking their time on WM 7 and then releasing 6.5 and then delaying WP 7 was considered dropping the ball? Especially since Steve Ballmer made those exact statements himself. Maybe the CEO of Microsoft is an idiot as well?
I don’t want to start a pissing contest and I do not want to start personal attacks and name calling. However if this is where you are wanting to go then fine, go ahead. Just be able to back up your name calling.
If you are offended by the “fanboy” title. I’m sorry, but a simple google (or Bing if you are so inclined) search of your name will show ANYONE that you (or another person with the same name as you) is a die-hard MS fan and takes delight in bashing other people who merely mention any other company’s products on other forums.
As I stated before. MS is a great company. Without MS we’d still be stuck in the PC dark ages. Because of them the smartphone market is where it is today. I only believe that they let Apple and Google pass them by with the iPhone and Android. They rested on their laurels and now they have an uphill battle to fight if they want to get back into the market as an industry leader in the public’s eyes. Perfect example is Palm. The Pre and the Pixi are very nice phones. However there hasn’t been a huge market for those phones so Palm isn’t anywhere close to where they wanted to be with the release of their current OS.
I really think you need to look in the mirror before you start on folks with the “apple fanboy” and the “fandroid” talk. Guess what? Those folks drive me nuts as well. There is nothing more irritating than a “Mac” person who thinks that the world revolves around Steve Jobs. I should know I deal with these folks every day. However to think that there is no place in the market for Macs is ridiculous. If someone wants to do photo, video, or music editing and they have the money to spend I have no problem suggesting a mac to them. The computer has what they want out of the box. No expensive software from adobe to purchase and it’s fairly easy for the novice to learn. Now, if someone wants a computer for school, to write essays, do spreadsheets, play games, etc. I will 100 out of 100 times suggest a PC. There’s no reason to spend the money on a mac just because the machine is aesthetically pleasing. That would just be ignorant.
The only thing I am saying is that there is room in the sandbox for everyone but Microsoft really needs to get on the ball because the sandbox is getting more full every day.
So PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell me how I’m being an idiot. That is, unless you just like tossing insults around with nothing to back it up.
gten,
I apologize, I added by mistake
Ok guys..I was reading around and just noticed it has a MSM7630 processor…while this is clocked at 800mhz it is actually superior to the current Snapdragons…It uses the Adreno205 GPU instead of Adreno200 GPU..and is 45nm instead of 65nm…while it may be not clocked as high its still a 2nd generation snapdragon…So expect better battery life, better IO and 1.5x-2x more graphic performance.
What I still don’t understand is why people insist on insulting people? I mean really? To each there own. If someone likes a certain phone or OS on particular phones, then so be it. Nothing can be made for everyone.
I just say, be happy, and enjoy what you have. What works for you, doesn’t necessarily work for someone else. Itster, you really need to calm down with the name calling. This is for discussions, not mudslinging and dame calling.
