No OTA 2.1 for Motodroid Owners Today
Good grief, not again?! For the second time, Motorola Droid users have been 'officially' promised the 2.1 update and for the second time, that promise has not come to fruition.
The guys over at Engadget did some digging after 12 noon came and went without a single report from the Droid community of the ROM being pushed. They were able to produce a snapshot of a screen showing that the "OTA software update for the DROID by Motorola is TBD. A new date will be communicated as soon as possible."
Hang in there folks, it's bound to be pushed out some time this decade.

good thing it’s not on sprint, otherwise they could rest assured they wouldn’t get it until the phone was 10 years old.
lol what ever
@drksilenc –
as in our hero is just as old as your eris so your point is moot
Although 2.1 was not released, alot of the features listed above have been or will be pushed to non rooted phones. Non rooted phones, for the most part, will not receive the update due to a block on ota updates. Pinch zoom in the browser, Google Goggles, Yahoo Mail support, and Speech to text are all included in the update
Well, if I actually paid attention to dates I would know that my information is old and incorrect. Sorry.
