Rumor: Sony Working On Playstation Phone Again?
We've heard rumors of a Sony Playstation phone before, but now WSJ is reporting from someone "close to the matter" is saying that Sony is developing a new line of smartphone devices capable of downloading and playing Playstation games. It is said to compete against the Apple iPad/iPhone/iPod and other "multifunction products". They are expected to work with Sony's new online service, which was developed to compete with iTunes. So, voice your opinion, fact or fiction? What OS could it run?

as for OS, my guess is proprietary
clearly it would probably run a varriant of their ps3/psp os….. and i wouldn’t doubt that they are taking a second look at this idea since their PSP Go! tanked so bad….

that was a sony UX…. i had one of those until i realized my phone can do everything i wanted to do on that
It is a fact, but the OS is gonna be all Sony, like everything they do.
That is why the miniDisc player failed, that is why the network player failed.
Interesting, perhaps to compete with Windows 7 Phone Series as it will have XBox Live capabilities and potential run Xbox Live arcarde games.
Their Own OS ? Nah, WP7 all the way….and with a PSP bult in, I’ll grab this phone. I would love to not have to take my PSP with me on long trips..

i had an N-gage QD wheni was in middle school and i liked it but it didnt really catch on hopefully sony will have better success but the XBL on WM7 looks amazing so idk how successful it wil be
