Universal microUSB Mobile Phone Charger Standard Approved

Really? It took this long?
Before now, there were no obvious rules or guidelines in place, this allowed each phone manufacturer to select their method of connectivity (and frustrated consumers)! Now before you get your hopes up and start throwing out your vast collection of USB cables, this new standard is not mandatory....but Sony Ericsson is already committed, and other manufacturers appear interested. Now if only the headphone jack issue could be solved....... |

Good luck convincing Apple to use it for the iPhone.
I wish every small device used a standard port, cell phones, Nintendo DS/DSi, PSP, MP3 players (all of them, everything that would work off that voltage).
To think of all the different powercords for cell phones and other “toys” over the years that I had to buy.
