Songbird – New Android Music Player in beta stages

Songbird is the newest Android music player for devices supporting Android 2.1 or higher. The application allows users to browse albums, artists, songs, genres, play lists and even albums, artists or songs within a specific genre.

The layout of the application is very stylish with back, forward, and play buttons easily accessible from the bottom of the screen widget. Another cool feature is that this application integrates with facebook. Yes, you can share what you are listening to with your friends.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • An Android phone that’s running Android 2.1-update1 or newer for the OS
  • For installation you will need to enable installing applications from unknown sources (Typically under settings -> Applications -> Check ‘Unknown Sources’ Option)
  • When the final version is released through the Android Market you will need to manually uninstall this build which will wipe data related to it
  • This build will expire 4 weeks from today so hurry~!!

Will you give this one a shot? If so, let us know what you think! You can leave comments below or hop into the thread already started here at PPCGeeks.
