Windows Phone 7 Speed Updates On Video

We all know about the update coming to Windows Phone 7 devices soon. We know that it’ll include Copy & Paste and other performance improvements. Now, there’s finally a video floating around that shows the app loading difference between a v1.0 phone and one with the update. These improvements will help some apps more than others, and the good news is that the developer doesn’t need to change anything in their app to take advantage of these updates.

The biggest place for improvement is games. Once the game actually loads, things are fast and smooth. Getting there though can be a painful and long process. Bejeweled can take forever to load up, and that’s one of the first games in this demo video. Some apps require internet data while loading (like Flixster), so these apps won’t notice a huge improvement.

So with Copy/Paste and the speed improvements, the things left on my WP7 wishlist are TTS Navigation (like Google Nav), more mainstream apps ported (IM clients, etc), and multitasking. What’s left on your list?
