Android Acer Tablet – Nov 23rd From $299 (Gingerbread 3.0?)

Manufacturers must think there aren’t enough tablets and iPads already going around. Consumers choices are definitely not going to be limited in the near future when shopping for a new tablet. We just heard that another company is working on their own tablet. CEO Gianfranco Lanci of Acer, a Taiwan-based multinational computer technology and electronics corporation, has told Dow Jones Newswire today that they will be releasing a line of tablet PCs in NYC on November 23, 2010. What? Where has this news been hiding with such a close release date?

Lanci states that the tablets will be available at prices ranging from $299 to $699, suggesting these may be made available in various sizes. Sources assume that this could easily be an Android 3.0 Gingerbread platformed tablet but it’s still unknown which operating system the company will rely on positively. Most of us would probably say Android is the way to go!

The price seems very reasonable compared to some of the other carriers for tablets currently and upcoming. We are very curious to know why it’s priced so low though? What are the specifications? When we find out we will let you know! Right now there are only a bunch of guess’ going around so our eyes are open for official information.
