Verizon Website Breifly Splashed ‘Droid Incredible by HTC’ Release Date (April 29)
HTC, Android and Verizon fans alike should be excited to see that Verizon has posted the "Droid Incredible by HTC" splash page on their website. The page also confirms the rumored April 29 launch date. Outside of the title, there's not much there except a picture and a form to sign up for notifications. This is good news indeed!
The leaked specs and photos have been floating around for a while (see: here); however this is the first marketing confirmation from Verizon that this device will be released April 29th. So far this phone looks like the cat's meow, sporting the 1Ghz snapdragon processor, half a gig of ROM space, an AMOLED screen all in a nice little HTC shell.
Check out the ((login screen that replaced the)) Splashpage for your self!
EDIT: I promise it was there a minute ago!
EDIT 2: HTC Source had a screen shot of the page before it was taken down. Here it is below (Replaced)
EDIT 3: Updated with better picture (thanks Mattb) (source: endgadget)

Its there I guess if you have a login for that part of VZW
I need this phone!
Damn I’m excited, I can’t wait for the day that the droids replace apple with marketshare. Keep pumping them out Google.
When I saw it this morning the page had changed to say something along the lines of The New Android Device Will Be Released On 4/29. About 5 minutes later the page was asking for a password like it is now.
Heres a link that shows the 4/29 date.

Yeah, I love how it’s called the “Droid Incredible”
if only this wasn’t on verizon I’d be getting it with the quickness. I wonder if you can flash it to cricket (since freaking sprint won’t add ESNs)
I’ll probably be camping outside of the Verizon place for this…just kidding…maybe.
IT’S no Evo
here is the official spec sheet from verizon.

@b.cabell – No, it’s not, but it’s coming out months before the EVO 4G, and it’s on Verizon’s 3G network instead of Sprint’s shoddy coverage. HDTV output would be absolutely awesome though.
sprint is loosing money and customers for every day the evo is not released
but maybe they didnt get the memo
