Folks there are high expectations coming from consumers all over the world being thrown at Samsung. People are eager to learn all about their new devices being announced and today is finally one of those days. Samsung will probably be announcing several devices each day but we do know today you can expect to hear about some of the awesome things Samsung has up their sleeve.

Below are some of the things we expect Samsung to show off at the Mobile World Congress show, today in Barcelona, Spain.

Now that we all know Samsung officially confirmed the Galaxy S II and Galaxy Tab 10.1″ you can definitely expect to see/hear of these being shown off today. The specifications we reported to you earlier, all remain the same such as the 1GHz dual-core processor, 4.3-inch (4.27-inch) Super AMOLED WVGA display, HSPA+ Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0 + HS (High Speed), a Readers Hub, Social Hub, Games Hub, Music Hub, 8MP camera with full HD video recording, gyro sensor, Mobile High-definition link allowing to watch full HD content on TV and storage options of 16 and 32GB according to Samsung Hub. Sound like a load of cool features to you? It does to me!

Continuing, the Galaxy Tab will have a 10.1-inch display (1280×800), Honeycomb OS, 8MP camera, full HD video recording and playback and dual surround sound speakers. That sounds like something our users have been waiting for. Am I right?

We also expect Samsung to announced that they’ll offer a glimpse of its bada 2.0 OS. The new bada 2.0 OS was confirmed at developer’s day in South Korea but this will be the first time Samsung will show the OS in action to all the developers. It will bring lots of new features like NFC support, improved multitasking and security. Samsung says Developers can expect an all new SDK which will also be released for Linux and Mac as well as revenue model support to earn money from the bada applications. Expect to hear more on this around the 15th of February, which is developer day in Barcelona.

In a few more days, Samsung is apparently unveiling a larger-sized Android tablet. According to sources, the new Samsung tablet will feature a 10.1-inch screen and will be lighter and thinner than the current Galaxy Tab. We don’t know much more about this one but are sure to keep our eyes and ears open. Rumor is it will also run on Honeycomb and have a dual-core Qualcomm processor along with an 8MP camera. This rumored tablet is expected to be unveiled on the same day as Galaxy S2.

Last but not least, Samsung, KT and Intel have teamed up to introduce a cloud-based LTE technology that will be will also be demonstrated during the show. The Cloud Communications Center (CCC)-based LTE enables operators to make a server and modem act as a base station that helps to lower operational costs while at the same time, handle excessive data traffic.

This is a lot of information and new technology we will start seeing from Samsung today and throughout the week. What do you think so far? Are you ready to get more details? I think some of us are. Let us know what you think in the comments box below. We will be back with more details and pictures once they are released.

The days of using remote controls may soon be over. Several smartphones and other devices now have the capability with the use of applications to replace your remote control for your TV. The Samsung Galaxy S and Galaxy Tablet are the most recent additions to this new technique.

This Android application does require your TV and the device to be connected on the same Wi-Fi connection where the remote will try to find the TV and add it. Then you are free to use your Samsung Tab or Galaxy phones on-screen QWERTY keyboard, with a 4-way directional pad, to input necessary information for TV functions, control settings and apps on the TV.

TV models supported that we know of so far include: 2010 models supporting Internet@TV (model code ‘C’), LED 6500 Series and higher, LCD 650 Series and higher and PDP 6500 Series and higher. Reports of several 2009 models are working as well.

Download it now here!

T-Mobile and Samsung Galaxy fans, you have a new device coming your way soon! With their latest press release we understand that we can expect the Samsung Galaxy S 4G to be in stores sometime this month.
Will this phone be T-Mobile’s number one selling device? We will see.
Now we all know Epic is the coolest device in the universe and if you own an iphone go [Edit by Courtney]...but a new cool device was just announced..you guessed it everyone the one and only Nexus S!!!

Now we all know Epic is the coolest device in the universe and if you own an iphone go [Edit by Courtney]…but a new cool device was just announced..you guessed it everyone the one and only Nexus S!!!

And best of all the Nexus S comes fully loaded with gingerbread goodness! Now its not all good news here as it doesn’t come with a dual-core processor nor even a higher clocked one; same old Hummingbird (still is the fastest processor on any production device of course). There is a bright side to that though for all fellow Galaxy S owners will be able to take advantage of the JIT optimized for the processor once it is ported.

Also a few things boggles the mind as Samsung decided to drop their MoviNAND and move on to Sandisks’s 16gb iNAND, probably due to the controversy’s surrounding the lag fix?

Anyways lets move on the the cool stuff at hand as each Nexus S comes with Samsung NEW curved Super AMOLED displays (not to be confused with SAMOLED 2) according to the specs these displays dump the PenTile technology and exhibit a 235 ppi on a 800×480 resolution and 4″ screen. They also point out that the screen is supposedly resistant to fingerprints. Finally a phone you can look AND touch! lol

It is also the first consumer phone to be loaded with the rumored NFC chip!

Everything else seems to be somewhat identical to the Galaxy S,

you can read the specs here.

As for sales, google had to say the following:

“After December 16, Nexus S will be sold unlocked and carrier-independent initially through Best Buy stores in the U.S. and after December 20 at Carphone Warehouse stores in the UK.”

Now onto the cookies at hand! Gingerbread cookies to be exact!

With the release of the Nexus S, Google also published the Gingerbread SDK, highlights include:

UI refinements for simplicity and speed

Faster, more intuitive text input

One-touch word selection and copy/paste

Improved power management

Control over applications

New ways of communicating, organizing

Internet calling

Near-field communications

Downloads management

Multiple Camera access

Details can be found here

So with all that on the table, which device do you think will get Gingerbread ported first?

Anyways back to smashing iPhones for me!
P.S Pzzt is dumping his EVO for a BB Style..we should sooo stone him!!

Time for another high-end Android phone to join the market, this time its by Samsung and reportedly coming to At&t. Back in January, we reported on the Samsung Galaxy 2, with recent reports showing the Galaxy S is coming to T-Mobile this year. Now there’s another Samsung device, which is very similar to the Galaxy S, dubbed the i897.

Back in March, Bluetooth.org posted some information on this device, showing that it includes Bluetooth 3.0, a 4″ AMOLED screen, and the TouchWiz 3.0 interface. AndroidGuys got an anonymous tip that the phone will also be running Android 2.1 at launch, that it will be coming to At&t with a 5MP camera and 2GB of internal storage. It will also have the 800×480 resolution.

And now, XDA user Drayvin has pulled some APK files from the i897, including “MSpot radio”, which, when installed, goes into the menu as a 10 minute trial of At&t Radio. According to him, the phone is coming out in July, but he didn’t provide any information on how he got his hands on one.
