Some of us have seen a few blurry photos of the Fantasy that surfaced over at XDA Developers Forum. To add to the confusion, it is our understanding that the Fantasy is now the Miracle and the Fantasy may be an entirely different phone all together.

Miracle or Fantasy, we are seeing some less blurry photos of the new LG Windows Phone that appeared on a Romanian online trading site. So far, all the images we’ve seen since December have been consistent and the mock up images look rather spot on. It’s just the name that seems to get a little confusing.

We expect the LG Windows Phone to sport a 4″ WVGA NOVA display, 1ghz second gen CPU, 8gb of internal storage, plus a 1.3mp front/5mp rear set of cameras. Hopefully all will come into focus on LG’s new Windows Phone later this month at the 2012 Mobile World Congress.

Credits go to wpcentral and GSMArena for the tip!

How about an early Christmas present? We have a sneak peak of the fall lineup from Verizon, and it looks sweet!!! A couple surprises, some next gen and even a couple new players in the deck for us to pick from!

There have been rumors for a while about the new Bold and Torch from Blackberry, but a 4G???? Blackberry users will be very happy with this surprise entry, the new 4G Curve should be out in September!!

Other devices in the running are the Droid Bionic (also in September), the LG Revolution 2 and the 4G Samsung Stratosphere (Verizon’s version of the Galaxy S2). Also mentioned is the LG Cosmo Touch feature phone.

If you notice, there is no mention of the iPad3 or iPhone5 which may surprise some, but personally I’m not. Apple has always been very secretive and to see it on a list like this that early would make me suspect the validity of the entire list.

Now….I know I am biased by being an Android user, but seeing the new HTC Bliss on this really has me excited. It is still in the rumor stage itself, but looks like a very good step for HTC.

What do you guys think? Is this a good selection? Anything you think should be here that isn’t (you never know who is reading)? Leave a comment and let us know what you think!!

Was this write-up about a white or a black phone? Well, honestly it was about both.
The device was first released in black, and is now being released with the same design, specs and internals, only in white.
Hopefully this didn’t confuse anyone, because there is also rumored to be an LG Optimus Pink on the way.
What do you think of the white design? Do you prefer black or white?
Do you feel more color options are needed for each device that comes to market?
Would that spark a little more uniqueness in an industry where so many devices are beginning to look so similar? Perhaps this is a wise move.
Let me know your thoughts on this white “Black” phone and the idea of more choices from manufacturers in the comments below.

It appears that a Verizon variant of the LG Optimus II aka Gelato Q handset, known as the VS700 — has just been cleared by the FCC, making this the third operator associated with the upcoming handset.

There was a leaked T-Mobile 2011 Lineup that revealed that the LG Optimus II aka Gelato handset is heading to launch later this year. A recently leaked screenshot (in the first week of June) of Sprint’s inventory system has also revealed the Gelato listing.
The reason this appears to be headed to Verizon, is that the LG Gelato Q that just visited the FCC was given clearance for CDMA/EvDO 850MHz and 1900Mhz frequencies.

We know from T-Mobile’s leaked roadmap, of three LG phones coming to T-Mobile in the near future: the LG Maxx, the LG Maxx Q and the LG “Gelato” Optimus II. Since the “Q” at the end of these names usually stands for “QWERTY,” we can assume the LG Maxx Q will probably have one. This Gelato Q handset’s name also implies that the Gelato would be having a slide-out QWERTY keyboard as well. You may know that the word ‘Gelato’ means Italian ice cream. So you would tend to think that the Gelato might be arriving pre-installed with the Android 2.4 Ice Cream Sandwich OS, which was officially unveiled at the Google I/O 2011 event.

However, if this phone does turn out to be the same as the LG Gelato Q we have already heard about, then we know a bunch of stuff about it already. According to its WURFL XML file, the phone will not launch with ice cream, but instead with Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread, a 800 MHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor (either the MSM7630 or the MSM7230) and a 480×320 pixels resolution screen. Those specs should make the phone a decent contender for the low-end section of the market.

What do you guys think?
Is this the LG Maxx Q, LG Gelato Q, both or neither?
Do you think this is the dual screen device we have seen?
Do you feel there is a market for these lower end smartphones?
Seems the age for these devices keeps getting younger, maybe it suits that bracket best.
Like to dig deep into your mobile devices settings to find the unknown? Are you the type that looks for those secret menus we aren’t supposed to find? Well it appears that an anonymous Sprint user has discovered some newly listed Sprint devices by doing so.

On Sprint handhelds, there is a Sprint ID app, which contains a menu for downloading the Sprint Employee Pack for Sprint ID. The employee ID packs were announced to employees in the retail playbook a few weeks ago. They contain links to sales tips and facts about devices. Before it will allow you to download this pack, you are prompted to specify which device you have. Well it appears that there are currently a few new names in this list.

•	LG Optimus B
•	LG Q
•	Samsung Chief
•	Motorola Sunfire

Per the roadmap leak:
o	LG Q – is the Optimus Slider/Gelato Q
o	Samsung Chief – is the SPHD600BKS, sometimes referred to as the Within, Galaxy S2, Conquer, etc…
o	Optimus B – Don’t know, but I’m thinking it’s the Optimus Black
o	Moto Sunfire – Probably the new Photon 4G
o	Epic 2.3 seen in the image – is likely the Gingerbread update coming very soon.

UPDATE:

The Samsung Droid Charge, yes that’s the official name of the “un-named Samsung 4G smartphone” everyone was curious about since first seeing it at CES. This device is expected to carry a minimum advertised price of $299.99.

The HTC Droid Incredible 2 (ADR6350) is a going to be a world edition with a front facing camera . This device is expected to be priced at $199.99.

The LG Revolution (VS910) is definitely a 4G LTE smartphone and is said to be priced at $249.99.

Finally, the Motorola DROID X 2 (MB870) will be priced at $199.99 and yes it is taking the place of the DROID X on Verizon’s lineup currently.

END OF UPDATE:

Looking at the image above you can tell that Verizon Wireless has several 4G devices being released starting today. Their 4G Novatel USB 551L modem and the Samsung 4G SCH-LC11 Mobile Hotspot are both now available for only $99.99 online with a new two year contract. But wait, there are many more devices other than internet modems coming your way.

If you aren’t interested in the Thunderbolt which is the only 4G LTE smartphone Verizon currently offers, just be patient. They will have more rolling out soon as you can see by the dates in the image. Keep in mind though, the dates are subject to change and this is only tipped information from the source. Nothing is official unless you see it come from Verizon Wireless themselves. For now we can enjoy what’s expected though right?

Basically what the leak says is this: Verizon Wireless will release an Android powered, 4G Casio Commando and the 4G Samsung Droid Charge on April 7th, 2011. The following week they are rumored to launch the Sony Xperia PLAY and the Windows Phone 7 HTC Trophy. Continuing on to April 28th, the rumors suggest the HTC DROID Incredible 2 may also be available. In May they say we can expect several more 4G phones, including the LG Revolution, Motorola BIONIC, Motorola DROID X2, and Samsung Galaxy 2 (presumably the Galaxy S 2).

Although these aren’t Verizon documents in the image we do see some of the dates are true, hence the mobile hotspot and USB device that are available today as the image suggests. With that being said, what do you think about the upcoming devices? We wrote about a few of them here and would love to have your feedback once again now that the time is closer. Let us know your thoughts.

Finally users of Verizon Wireless service have had the pleasure of owning the first ever LTE smartphone that hit their market. The HTC Thunderbolt has been a great success so far and it’s actually the most talked about handset still to this day. Our Thunderbolt forums are filled with rooting information and much more already so hop on in and take a look.

Not to be the only company not to have a application hub, LG announces their LG Toolbox. This is much like the HTC hub, that we have seen floating around; LG Toolbox, consists of a number of useful utilities, including:

World Clock which shows the time in a number of European cities, with the user able to add other cities.

Unit Converter offers the possibility to convert different units of measure such as angles, areas, data for the computer, energy, weight, length, mass, velocity, etc. ..

World Holidays lets you know what are the holidays of every country and is especially useful for travellers.

Date Calculator shows us how many days to a specific date and calculate a number of days into the future.

Sale Price allows us to calculate the price of a product based on the discount rates e.g 15% off.

Level Meter is a complete level, well done and quite accurate, which offers a choice between two different visions.

Flashlite is the now classic torch, a must in all smartphones. It allows light to be shed using the brightness of the screen with a choice of different colors and also to enable or disable the strobe vision.

Random Number finally, with a nice animated graphics, allows us to extract a random number within a range set by us.

Read more and see screenshots of all the apps at HDBlog.it here.

Source: wmpoweruser.com

How do you think this will stack up against the HTC hub that is in works, and do you think that it will be a favorable application to own an LG device compared to another device? How do these features rate with you, what would be a must have application for you and your windows phone 7 experience?

Also if you would like to know how to develop your own applications look no further than here.

The detectors will be used to help notify users of a chemical release. The implementation of this chip would also be linked to a network, which through multiple unique detections and geo-location, would help to isolate the area where chemical exposure occurs.

With this network of toxic chemical detectors, first responders could quickly address the situation based on the data being sent by the smartphones. Besides chemical fumes, I wonder what type of applications could be built to use this sensor? An app to sense what type of food it is by scent perhaps?

One of the things that caught our attention was the fact that the device looks like it has a smaller screen compared to the Touch Pro 2 or the HD2, and it has a large bezel around it like earlier 2009 or even late 2008 devices. From the video below, it also looks thinner than the Touch Pro and Touch Pro 2, which is a positive for me.

In addition to Sprint’s big announcement coming January 6th before CES, it appears as though they could have another announcement, another Android device! There are no specs on this device yet, other than the screenshot to the right (you can click on it to view the larger image). Could it be another 3G/4G hybrid phone like the rumored Windows Mobile one? Given the fact that its Android, it will probably have a large touchscreen and possibly a QWERTY keyboard.

At this point though, the only fact that we have is the screenshot of Sprint’s inventory system.

The folks over at PhoneScoop had the opportunity to review the recently announced LG eXpo, coming to At&t. Overall, it got a pretty good rating with a few downsides. They said the phone feels solid, but they had some complaints about the resistive screen and the fingerprint sensor/D-Pad.

In addition to unlocking the phone, the fingerprint sensor can also be used to control access to other applications (SMS, E-Mail, etc). One thing they were really impressed by was the keyboard, calling it “fantastic”. There’s no pictures of LG’s UI, and Phonescoop reports that its mostly a stock WM6.5 with the optional LG UI available.

“Turning to the projector, which they call a “neat accessory”, they note it was large but battery friendly and projected what was on the screen. They noted it was not what they called “super bright” but even in a well-lit environment they were able to make out everything it projected. The projector is capable of a 40 inch image at 8 feet.”
