Were you among the several Samsung Windows Phone 7 users with complaints about the first update Microsoft sent your device? Were you one of the users who never got the update to go through? If so, the complaints have been heard and the problems are being solved. Microsoft is currently resending the February update to Samsung phones as well as continuing to send the update to other Windows Phone models.

If you haven’t received the second update yet, be patient. It’s on a certain schedule to hit all devices soon. Keep your eyes open for the update notification. The Windows Team assures you that they are committed to learning from their first update and improving the process. “We know we have work to do, and we won’t be satisfied until you are.”

Have you been among those who keep hearing about how Windows Phone 7 already needs an update? It’s been stated in several reviews that there are some things that could use some work. Microsoft has been aware of the small bugs or updates that need to be fixed and have actually been working on these for a long time.

According to a recent twitter post by Chris Walshie, a team member of ChevronWP7, he confirms Microsoft has been working on an update since before shipping out version one of WP7. It’s good to know they agree there are enhancements to be made, right? Take a look at the twitter posts below.

If Chris claims this could be considered Windows Phone 8, that sounds like Microsoft has really done some work doesn’t it? We know that several users aren’t happy with the current multi-tasking abilities and wish there were more things you could do at once. The copy/paste feature has been a long awaited feature and users would love to see that built in as well.

Our very own admin here at PPCGeeks, Mindfrost82, has his own opinion of what updates he’d like to see with WP7. He wishes smart dialing was available as well as maybe offering turn-by-turn navigation in Bing Maps similar to what Google Maps does. Those two updates alone would make several users happier, including himself. Of course there’s the usual copy/paste and multitasking too. Another cool thing he hopes to see one day would be Office having the ability to open/edit documents from SkyDrive. Right now the only way to get documents on the phone is to email them to yourself since you can only sync with Zune and it doesn’t offer document sync.
