When the HTC Evo 4G first started showing up on the internet, the largest speculation on our site and many other places was the mandatory $10 4G fee that would come along with the service. Some of us understood that this meant you were getting access to a much more powerful network and that fee wasn’t a big deal. For others who don’t even have access to 4G at all, because of their area, weren’t so happy. Would you be upset if you had to pay extra for service you didn’t get? I think so.

Well according to a SEC filing made by Clearwire, this could all change very soon. The document reveals that around 810,000 customers are out there with an EVO 4G or Epic 4G, but they are located outside a 4G area and Sprint has begun to bicker over what they are paying Clearwire per customer. For clarification, this doesn’t mean the fee will be removed for all users nor do we know of any proof this will happen. This is simply a rumor as of now until we hear it directly from Sprint.

Is this what you wanted to hear? If you are one of those in a non-4G area, I think you may be getting excited by now. I really hope this isn’t just a rumor and in fact happens A.S.A.P!
