Apparently Samsung Mobile is currently developing a 4.5″, flexible, AMOLED screens and they seem very interesting. Yesterday, BGR mentioned that Samsung may be doing this and today they have found an image showing you an example of the screen found at Samsungamoled. This just lets us know that is definitely is happening. I think it’s exciting!

Samsung Mobile and Korean site samsungamoled.net are said to be showing off the screen at this month’s FPD-International conference, so I’m sure we will find more details soon. So far the specifications we know of include: 4.5″ screen that is flexible and AMOLED, WVGA screen, 800 x 480 resolution and it has a radius of 1cm.

What do you think about this? Did you see it coming? I sure didn’t. I wonder what the real reason for the flexibility is. My guess is so they don’t break so easily. What’s yours? Let us know
