How about an early Christmas present? We have a sneak peak of the fall lineup from Verizon, and it looks sweet!!! A couple surprises, some next gen and even a couple new players in the deck for us to pick from!

There have been rumors for a while about the new Bold and Torch from Blackberry, but a 4G???? Blackberry users will be very happy with this surprise entry, the new 4G Curve should be out in September!!

Other devices in the running are the Droid Bionic (also in September), the LG Revolution 2 and the 4G Samsung Stratosphere (Verizon’s version of the Galaxy S2). Also mentioned is the LG Cosmo Touch feature phone.

If you notice, there is no mention of the iPad3 or iPhone5 which may surprise some, but personally I’m not. Apple has always been very secretive and to see it on a list like this that early would make me suspect the validity of the entire list.

Now….I know I am biased by being an Android user, but seeing the new HTC Bliss on this really has me excited. It is still in the rumor stage itself, but looks like a very good step for HTC.

One hot topic on the internet right now is the unveiling of the iPad2 which took place on March 2, 2011 by Apple’s Steve Jobs in California. Following the announcement, Samsung immediately admitted they feel they have a tough challenge to face and have to make some changes.

The iPad2 (8.8mm) is not only thinner than Samsung’s latest Galaxy tablet (10.9mm) but also cheaper in price. When Lee Don-Joo, Executive Vice President of the Korean Samsung Firm found out the specifications he stated that “We will have to improve the parts that are inadequate.”

Samsung’s original 7″ screen Galaxy Tab was priced at nearly $900 without a two-year contract, where the cheapest iPad 2 costs $499. That’s a huge price difference! Samsung hasn’t announced pricing for its new 10.1-inch tablet. They did consider pricing it higher than the 7″ but think they need to rethink all the prices with a competition like this on the market.

Sources suggest that Samsung has sold two million Galaxy Tabs since October 2010, while Apple sold 15 million iPads in April-December. It doesn’t look like price makes a difference to the buyers as much as you think it would. What do you think?

This just tells us that maybe Samsung will have a huge price drop soon. That would help consumers in the decision making process. At least price wouldn’t be so much of a concern if they do drop a little.

We’ve all been hearing rumors on the Samsung Galaxy S2 and now the official specifications have been leaked, or so they claim. The image above isn’t confirmed official, don’t be confused. But, Samfirmware.com got their hands on these specifications from their tipster and are certain these are official. Read on to hear all about the goodies that come inside this phone.

They say that for a fact, Samsung is testing 2 devices: one is a 4.3” and the other is a 4.5” screen size. They confirm these devices do have the rumored Orion Dual-core on board 1.0 GHZ and 1.2 GHZ but aren’t sure which one will be used.

Specifications Listed:

• Super Amoled screen
• Android 2.3 (aka Gingerbread)
• supports external SD-Cards up to 32 GB and a MicroUSB
• 3.5mm Audio jack
• LED flash with an 8 Megapixel Camera
• Front facing camera is 1.3 Megapixels

We already knew a version of the highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy was coming to every major US carrier this summer. Its already been announced as the Vibrant on T-Mobile and will be available on July 21st (now rumored to be the 15th). Now, At&t has officially announced their version, the Samsung Captivate, available July 18th. It will be available for $199.99 with a 2-year contract or $349.99 with no contract. Now that official dates are out for the two major GSM carriers, we’re just waiting for official dates from the two major CDMA carriers, Sprint (Epic 4) and Verizon (Fascinate).

New handsets will include the updated operating system while existing owners can upgrade through Samsung’s proprietary PC Studio 7 software (available at http://www.samsungmobile.com).  The upgrade is available in Germany and Samsung has detailed that it will be gradually rolled out to other European markets, Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Asia, Africa and rest of the world (Antarctica and Americas.)

Motorola Droid owners are shaking their heads in disapproval and perhaps a little misplaced jealousy as the Samsung incantation of Android Eclair will sport no less than nine screens (Droid has three).  The Galaxy Spica will also experience some additional multimedia improvements over and above it’s current ability to play divx files (which Droid doesn’t).  The new media browser permits user to easily browse through Media files stored on the memory card and updates to the camera software promise ‘enhanced picture options and viewing functionality.’

Androphones has it from several sources that Samsung will be launching a new Snapdragon powered Android device. Judging from the likely specifications, this will surely have enough rocket power to boost you to whatever galaxy you want to go to.

– 1 GHz Snapdragon
– 3.7 inch AMOLED touchscreen
– 5 MP camera
– 32 GB internal memory
– Android 2.1
– 3.5 mm jack
– and of course all the other goodies that make a decent smartphone, like GPS, WiFi and such.

The expected release date is sometime in the 2nd Quarter of 2010, but they advise us to look towards the MWC happening next month in Barcelona for an official revealing.
