According to research company Gartner, Inc., the world’s leading information technology research and advisory company, Samsung is now the top Android handset developer. Of course as Engadget put it, this is what happens when you manage to launch essentially the same smartphone on every national carrier in the US, plus the top regional?! Wouldn’t you expect the same results?

Recently, Samsung proudly announced that they have sold around three million Galaxy S devices in the US including the Fascinate, Captivate, Epic 4G,Vibrant, and Mesmerize on Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and US Cellular. This gave them 32.1 percent of the US Android market share in the third quarter according to Gartner. This was more than enough to bump Samsung into the number one spot. Nice job Samsung!!

With this report spreading like wildfires we are curious to hear Motorola/HTC’s response. What will they do to step up their game now or will they disagree with these results? What do you think? Let us hear it!
