Today we want to announce a new forum section. It is the  Q&A section; in this section we will see Questions and Answers to and from the Developers and Experts on PPCG, as well as interviews of people (Developers & Experts).  We will be continuing to grow this section out and expand it as we grow. PPCGeeks has been around for about 5 years and has gone through many changes over those years. We’ve had several staff members come and go and have gone through quite a few style changes on the forums.

Our userbase has continuously grown with the releases of new smartphones, and now we have officially reached a new milestone. In our forums, we now have over 2 million posts by our users. This milestone puts us in an elite group of forums and while site traffic has its ups and downs, our beloved site isn’t going anywhere anytime soon thanks to our great users!

PPCGeeks appreciates every current or retired site admin, moderator, super moderator, news writer and member for everything they have done to help the forums be where they are today. This is a huge celebration and we’re honored to be where we stand. Members, pat yourself on the back for your accomplishments. You’ve done a great job!

Recently, I’ve had the wonderful opportunity to test out the latest in Seidio’s line of powerful, protective cases for the various fragile and injury-prone devices by Samsung, HTC, and other big Smartphone manufacturers. Today I took a look at the Seidio Innocase Surface for the new Samsung EPIC 4G smartphone.

For starters, I just got back from a trip to the mountainous of Utah. The case held up decently but there comes a point when your phone is tumbling down the mountain trail, banging against dirt, rocks and other debris, when it’s time to choose something with a little more protection. Despite this, it held up just fine when used under normal conditions (such as at the home or office). It isn’t made of super strength alloy or titanium but it sure gets the job done in the end without adding an uncomfortable amount of bulk. One advantage wherever you are is the sleek, rubberized “surface” it’s given for that extra strong grip, hence the name of the product.

Applying it takes a little bit of effort with the interlocking tabs, try not to remove it too often as it feels like it’s made to stay in use rather than to be constantly taken off. Still, I recommend this product highly for the everyday user, as it completed a rigorous amount of testing and is still standing strong. The only thing to look out for is the inner surface, which may scratch your phone accidentally due to the tough interior.

This product is a strong combination of tough, reliable, and high quality. Just what you’d expect from such a case.

It’s time for the first PPCG week in review, where we take a look at what’s happened throughout the community this past week. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll shake your head in dismay.   So let’s kick this thing off!

The inaugural week for the WP7 Gang has been quite exciting. Founded by darren.wlson1 last Saturday, they have brought much verve to the WP7 world. Enthusiasm was curbed at news of the circus going on in the development team for WP7 and the fact that their true product won’t be complete for 5 years, but Darren has been rallying the troops. Stay tuned to see how the gang fares.

We’ve had another explosive week in the HTC Evo 4G forums. Anyone who’s been to that jungle and made it out alive to talk about it can tell you how hectic it is in there. From seemingly millions of posts on how it is the worst device known to man, woman, child, or beast, to the same number of posts swearing the Evo is the best device ever made by anyone in the history of communication, we’ve had posts about the screen, 4G, widgets, apps, games, keyboards, and we’ve had some great chefs step up and cook some really nice looking ROMs. This device has been out less than 2 weeks and the Evo forums are closing in on 27,000 posts!

This past week has also seen lots of polarization on the iPhone 4. From the iFans to the iHaters to the iDon’tCares we’ve seen lots of commentary on news stories of specs, pre-orders, and rumored CDMA handsets.

The awesome photo contest started by Mr. X has gained popularity. Check some of the amazing shots there, and don’t forget to post your own! There are really some amazing ones!

The 2010 Playoffs thread has also been quite active, and there’s been some heated back-and-forth going on in there. The Lakers, having ended things last night, have essentially put an end to this saga.

We’ve had some awesome posts this week, from long to funny to just plain crazy!

We also had PPCG staff meet up, with some awesome pictures.
