Now that they already have a pinch to zoom feature we are curious to see what other enhancements they have done to the browser. What do you think will be in store for us? Anything different? Anything better than what they have now? Let us know your thoughts. It will be interesting to see who was right when it gets here!

Interestingly enough, while growth of Opera’s desktop browser has increased 30 percent from a year ago, Opera Mini is growing at a much faster user rate. Opera Mini had a 145 percent increase in users from the prior year and is growing at a steady pace. Month by month usage around the world keeps growing, with the most significant growth being from Opera Mobile.

Opera has released a new beta version of its Opera Mini browser. A lot of us tend to use either Opera Mini or Opera Mobile as our primary browser. The big news here though is that you no long need to use Java (and its clunky interface). Opera has rewritten its code to make it a native Windows Mobile app. Opera Mini is supposed to be tighter, faster, and consumes considerably less data than its bigger brother, Opera Mobile.

In my experience, loading the app is faster than Opera Mobile and the interface is very similar to Opera Mobile 10. It seems to load the pages zoomed in, as opposed to the zoomed out view in Opera Mobile, and there’s no apparent setting to change this behavior. What are your opinions? You can discuss it in our forums here.

Opera today released two new Beta versions of their popular mobile browsing software, Opera Mobile 10 and Opera Mini 5. The latest Opera Mobile 10 Beta and Opera Mini 5 Beta offer users some of the more popular desktop features, including Opera Link and the Download Manager, on their mobile phone. Opera Link allows a user to synchronize with the Opera desktop browser to share all personal settings such as Bookmarks, Speed Dial and search engines across multiple platforms and systems. The Download Manager will allow a user more control over their downloads and promises that the Download Manager will also speed up the overall download process to mobile devices. Opera has also worked on making the browsing experience more unified with the same look and feel across all devices.

Please understand that Beta software is often buggy and unstable and not typically for the mainstream user. That said, if you would like to give either of these new versions a test run, you can go here to download the latest Opera Mobile 10 Beta and here to get the latest Opera Mini 5 Beta.

Opera has released a public beta of its Opera Mobile 10 browser. So far reviews seem to be pretty good, with people saying its rendering almost as fast as Opera Mini, and the fact that it has some nice, improved zooming features.

Since its still a beta, there are bound to be some bugs. Here’s the list of improvements from Opera:

Intuitive new interface Opera has thrown out the clutter and is keeping it simple in terms of aesthetics. Less is more when it comes to mobile browsing.

Speed Dial Speed Dial serves as your personal table of contents for the Web. Your favorite sites welcome you upon launching Opera, and in one click, you are there.

Tabbed browsing Open new links in multiple tabs to bounce between sites easily.

Password manager Save those annoying passwords with Opera’s password manager, or if you are feeling vulnerable, simply and swiftly delete all.

Touchscreen navigation Opera Mobile 10 beta is optimized for touchscreen navigation. With a touchscreen phone, you can enjoy even easier navigation with our new adaptive zoom feature, kinetic scrolling, and visual tab thumbnails.

Save images Select and save your friends’ Facebook pictures to your phone for offline viewing later.

Opera Turbo Offload your page rendering to one of Opera’s servers, and reduce your data costs.

Advanced compatibility Since Opera Mobile 10 beta is based on Opera’s browser for desktop computers, it maintains advanced Web-site compatibility and ensures that nearly any site is accessible from a mobile phone.

Smooth surfing Pan, zoom and smoothly scroll your way through the Web.

It is free! Opera Mobile 10 beta for Windows Mobile is available as a free download at www.opera.com/mobile/ or m.opera.com/mobile/ (for phone download).
