As the world’s first mobile super chip, NVIDIA Tegra 2 brought extreme multitasking with the first mobile dual-core CPU, the best mobile Web experience with up to two times faster browsing, hardware accelerated Flash and console-quality gaming with an ultra-low power (ULP) NVIDIA GeForce GPU. Recently a rumor spread with a graph that suggests NVIDIA is working very quickly to bring you an even better “super chip”, the NVIDIA Tegra 3.

I’ve seen some smartphone users say this would be great if it ever happened, well it just may. According to the above roadmap, you should know more or potentially have your hands on a smartphone with a 1.5GHz “super chip” by Fall of 2011. What we think of when we read this product road map is that the Tegra 3, 1.5 GHz quad-core processor will have faster graphics than the Tegra 2, Blue-ray video and support for 1920×1200 resolution devices.

What do you Geeks think? Let us know!

Most of us probably recall watching a demo video of what the original NVIDIA Tegra chip was capable of since it had most of us drooling over the graphics. There’s only been a couple of phones that have used this chip, the newest being Microsoft’s Kin One and Kin Two. During NVIDIA’s financial report, their CEO said that their upcoming Tegra 2 chip would be available in Android-powered devices. He said it should be available by the third version of Android, which should be around the end of the year.

The new chip is said to rival Apple’s A4, which is used in the iPad and possibly the new iPhone 4G. There was no mention of possible manufacturer partners for this chip and no other specifics about its capabilities.
