The title says it all. If you don’t already know, Honeycomb has been ported for use on the HTC Droid Incredible, HTC Evo 4G and the HTC Desire HD. This isn’t the official update that everyone’s been talking about or hoping for but it’s definitely a start in the right direction. Keep in mind, there are a few bugs to be worked out but hey, it’s available.

Take a look at the videos below of Honeycomb running on the Incredible and the Evo. You will notice a bit of a lag but also you’ll see how the new version of Android fits the phones very nicely.

Verizon Wireless is full of rumors this year aren’t they? Wow, another one spreading is that they will be getting the HTC Incredible HD version by November 23rd. Keep in mind, this is once again a rumor so we aren’t too sure about this one. When we find out more facts we will be glad to let you know. This rumor started at DroidForums from an admin who stated this device was leaked a while ago. We are just now getting our hands on the pictures though.

PPCGeeks Verizon Wireless tipster hasn’t heard anything nor seen any pictures of this device. We take it Verizon is keeping this one as secret as possible, especially if it has a Front Facing Camera. That would be their first device released like this if the launch date and specs are right. This rumor still gives us no definite answer so our ears and eyes are open.

Rumored Specifications:

• Kickstand
• 4.3-inch screen
• 3.5 mm headphone jack 
• Front facing camera!! Say what? That would be awesome!

Now that EVO, Droid and Nexus One have received their Froyo upgrades, word on the street is that sometime this week, Incredible will get theirs.  Bringing them into our family of Froyo users.

As most of the android population now know, Froyo is the code-name of the new Android 2.2 that is touted to be faster and more stable than it’s 2.1 predecessor. However, the main feature is the ability to run Adobe Flash 10.1. Which allows your web browser to make use of websites that use Flash for navigation, games, and showing video.

Many of us that have one of the aforementioned (surprised to see that word in my vocabulary?) phones have had some type of anxiety over the new upgrade and/or rooting.  If rooted, by accepting the OTA (Over The Air) version of Froyo, unless your phone has been “unrevoked forever”, there is currently no way back to root.  For the benefits and explanation of  “unrevoked forever”, go here.

For many, a better choice may be not to accept the OTA and instead, wait until one of the great cooks we have, create a rom with the OTA included (which is what I did).

There are many, many (and I do mean MANY) posts on rooting in the forums. What may work for some, may not for others. The important thing is to get a game plan and be prepared. Think about what you want to do and how you plan on doing it BEFORE the OTA hits. After you’ve accepted it and it’s been installed, is not a good time to worry about how you’re going to root.

If you’ve been waiting for the Google Nexus One to become available on Verizon Wireless, Google just spoiled your plans. If you remember, back when the Nexus One was launched for T-Mobile, they said a Verizon version would be available this Spring. Now Google is telling you to just buy a Droid Incredible by HTC instead. According to them, the Droid Incredible is a “cousin of the Nexus One that is similarly feature-packed”.

We just reported that the Incredible is rumored to go on sale on April 29th. Back in March, we also reported of some possible specs. The good news is that it appears it will have a Snapdragon processor clocked at the full 1GHz, not at 768MHz like was previously rumored.

We already knew the HTC Incredible is showing up in Verizon’s inventory system, but now the latest rumor is saying it will go on sale on April 29th. AndroidAndMe also states that they’ve talked to several “trusted sources” that have confirmed the April 29th date. Still no official word on pricing yet though.

We already know the Nexus One is coming to Verizon this “Spring” (as early as April), and with the announcement of the Sprint Evo 4G, which phone will you get if you decide to make the jump to Android?

Last week we got a hold of some images of the upcoming Verizon Wireless Android phone, the HTC Incredible. Now we have some more, in full Verizon color scheme, along with some possible specs. Rumors are that it will have 512mb of RAM (with about 320mb available to the user), an 8MP camera, and an underclocked Snapdragon processor at 768MHz (like the Acer Liquid). It will also have Android 2.1 with SenseUI. Measurements are 117.5 x 58.5 x 11.9mm. Its expected to head to Verizon in Q2 2010.
