Not long ago Google Goggles was released for the Android platform and now have extended their technology to the Apple Iphone platform as well. With Google Goggles, you can now use the camera on your Iphone to search the Web. There is no need to type! Just take a photo to search for landmarks, logos, books, artwork, and more. The application does require your Iphone to be at least an iPhone 3GS or iPhone 4 to use this app because of the auto focus camera.

Key features of Google Goggles:

Find out what is nearby by pointing your phone at a nearby store.

Save time by not having to type to search

“It will be coming to other platforms,” said Barra. “Android is currently the platform our developers are a little bit more comfortable with.”

There’s also been some discussions in our forums here.
