If you have been on facebook or twitter the last couple of days developers and users alike are flaming mad over flappybirds use of Super Mario Bros graphic's. The hatered toward the game has garnered alot of attention , like the photo shown above by Super Mario bros fans. Developer's dislike the game for various reason's from stolen artwork to the simplistic gameplay . It doesn't hurt that flappybird has gotten to the point on it's good days flappybird makes $50,000 in a day.

Honestly the attacking of the game by game developers could be attributed that some developers spend one or two years making a game and not have the same success. Obviously there are a lot of consumers that love and support the game. You can find ton's of video's online of people playing and having fun with the game. Could it be that the designer of flappybird understands what people enjoy and developers just don't get it?

Following in the footsteps of Pocket Legends’s previous success, Spacetime Studios is preparing to release Star Legends: The Blackstar Chronicles as an iOS, Android, and eventually as a PC title with similar features but a different theme. A limited beta of the upcoming MMORPG from Spacetime Studios will be arriving exclusively in the Verizon V Cast Market very soon. It’s not clear why Verizon got the exclusive on this, but the obvious guess would be their LTE market size and the fact that they have both the iPhone and many Android handsets. Unfortunately iOS players, you won’t be able to join in on the fun until it’s out of beta, due to Apple not supporting limited releases.

For those of you who aren’t on Verizon, Spacetime Studios will be giving away some beta keys through select gaming sites by way of contests and giveaways. So you will still have a chance to win a beta key and get in on the action.

The developer promises frequent updates just like with Pocket Legends, where approximately once a month the game will receive new campaigns, level cap raises, and other sorts of in-game updates. The iOS and Android versions should both be in full swing in July. With a PC version as well, which will make The Blackstar Chronicles the first PC MMO to share servers with iOS and Android players all at the same time, or at all for that matter.

The team behind Spacetime was employed by NCSoft (Lineage, City of Heroes) in 2005, to work on PC game projects including Star Legends: The Blackstar Chronicles.
Unfortunately, Blackstar never saw the light of day, due to NCSoft’s apparent lack of interest in a sci-fi based game. Spacetime Studios eventually spun off as an independent company and released Pocket Legends for iOS and Android platforms last year. The title now boasts nearly 4.5 million combined downloads to date, and the company still continues pumping out updates every few days.

If you think you wanna get in the game, start thinking of that username you want, users are already trying to reserve theirs now.

Are you a casual gamer, who enjoys playing games on your Android powered phone? Wish that you could just hook it up to the big screen sometimes? Envizions just might have what you’re looking for. The company plans to release a gaming console that will let you play your Android games on your widescreen TV. They are already currently accepting pre-orders for the initial production run of EVO2 console. With an initial payment of $15 you can reserve a place as one of the early EVO 2 customers.

EVO2

Evo 2 will carry a pricetag of $249 and will have the ability to bring Android mobile games to your TV. The gaming console, which sports a Samsung 1.2 GHz processor with a 512 MB RAM, will be running a modified Android 2.2 OS. The package will include a remote, a gaming controller and an HDMI cable.
A 3D motion sensor is in the plans as well. The company also mentions implementing a feature that allows players to earn EVO tokens. These EVO tokens can be used toward the purchase of new premium Android games.

Will the fact that this is an “open console”, be enough to give this an edge over other options in the gaming market? Is it just a gimmick? Apparently the first edition sold out 2009. As tablets become more abundant, will games get better, to where this becomes a better option to proprietary consoles? Games can be downloaded easily to this device and there’s also a game cloud storage available as well. Not to mention an open SDK model for game developers.

Here are a few of the known details and specs:
• EVO 2 system will utilize built-in Wi-Fi for photos, music and games.
• EVO 2 will be powered by Android 2.2 and support HD content and EVO Market Store.
• The EVO 2 console will also support Qquip SMS Reward Service, and GameBox storage.
• EVO 2 is designed to sync with your Android tablet or cell phone.
• Nvidia graphics
• 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi
• Support HDMI
• Five USB ports
• TOSLINK /Optical Audio output
• S/PDIF
