This seems a little far-fetched in my opinion, but I guess anything is possible and as long as there are people out there willing to pay for a luxury like this, it sure makes things interesting. Aston Martin is partnering with Canada’s Mobiado to produce a line of high-end luxury smartphones, supposedly to be launched in May of this year. The most interesting one is the CPT002 because it is completely transparent. Yes, you read that right!

Its made of a single slab of solid sapphire crystal. The screen is transparent and is capacitive. They’ve hidden the battery, SIM card, and other electronics into the platinum sides of the phone.

Interesting concept right? How much do you think something like this would sell for? Do you ever see it going mainstream, and if so, in how many years?
