Some other smartphone blogs have reported on another new Motorola Android device, codenamed Backflip, Enzo, and Motus (not sure why there’s so many names for it). It appears as though this device is coming to At&t, and depending on if it hits before the Sony X10, it could be their first Android device. It has a reverse flip keyboard, and a touchpad on the back. Other specs include Android 1.5, 256 MB memory, 528 Mhz processor, 5MP camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a 3.1” HVGA touchscreen. It also comes with Motorola’s CLIQ interface, and it appears as though there’s no Google apps preloaded and the search widget is Yahoo! branded. Click on the picture to the right for a larger view.

Another possibility is the Sony Xperia X10, which just showed up on the FCC site with the 3G bands for AT&T, Bell, Telus and Rogers. Could this one possibly be At&t’s first Android device?

At&t is the last of the major U.S. carriers to get an Android device, and many people assume this is because their exclusivity deal with Apple for the iPhone. Now that that’s possibly nearing its end, its about time At&t started getting some of these popular Android devices.
