Recently a member of PPCGeeks, Darklord, was having problems with his Sprint EVO and it’s streaming capabilities. Apparently the recent 3.70 update changed the settings on the EVO to something that disrupts streaming. He has given us details of his experience and told us how to fix it. If you have the Sprint EVO and streaming doesn’t work well, this is for you.

What was happening was after connecting to a site and starting the streaming, it was very unstable. Within moments the stream would stop, then start, then stop and start again. Sometimes Darklord would have to restart the application to make the stream restart. The situation was annoying to say the least.

Darklord has shared the solution he found and hopes it’s useful to more than just him. He didn’t make these on his own but did find them on, believe it or not, the Love Sponge’s website.

Here’s the fix:

1) Dial ##3282#
2) Choose Edit Mode
3) Enter MSL
4) Choose Advanced
5) Change HTTP PD Proxy Port to: 0
6) Change HTTP PD Proxy Address to: 0.0.0.0

Darklord stated, “These are the settings for other Android devices so I do not know why Sprint changed them. This will get your streaming services working again.”

Thanks Darklord!
