So Acer has finally stepped up and came to the Windows Phone Party, they have released their first Windows Phone 7 – dubbed Acer W4. This is a new partnership that was announced just last week, but as it seems to me Acer was already aboard developing phones before the official announcement. Let’s take a look at the specs of the phone.

3.5-inch WVGA Capacitive screen

Screen Resolution: 480×800

5MP Camera with auto-focus

HSPA/GSM Support

Qualcomm MSN8255 running 1GHz

Windows Phone Mango Edition

So with this little tid-bit of Windows Phone love do you think that with Acer coming into the picture will make a big difference? This is an interesting phone, smaller than the others, but just the same power house phone. PPCGeeker’s what do you think – is this worth it? I did notice it is built with Mango flavoring that in itself makes me want to sink my teeth into the phone already…

Take a look at some more pictures. The page is in Japanese but hey they are pictures. Here

Acer has finally announced their two new WM6.5 smartphones, the neoTouch and beTouch. The previously code-named F1 is the high-end neoTouch with its Snapdragon processor.

The price range will be around $259 to $481 and fully unlocked and unbranded.

Source: Slashgear

The Acer beTouch E100 and E101 both have 3.2-inch WQVGA touchscreens, 12mm thick casings and the same Qualcomm 7225 528MHz processor. There’s also a 2-megapixel camera, Windows Mobile 6.5 with IE Mobile 6, and Bluetooth 2.0+EDR. The differentiating factor is 3G: the E100 has quadband GSM and dualband HSDPA support, while the E101 makes do with quadband GSM and EDGE.

Meanwhile the Acer beTouch E200 has largely the same specifications as the E100, but adds in a slide-down numeric keypad. It keeps the HSDPA support, but boosts the camera to 3-megapixels, adds GPS and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR support.

Finally, the Acer neoTouch S200 gets Qualcomm’s 1GHz Snapdragon processor, a 3.8-inch WVGA touchscreen, quadband GSM and triband HSPA. There’s a 5-megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash, WiFi b/g and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, together with GPS, an accelerometer and 3.5mm headphone jack.
