Today, Verizon Wireless made an announcement that it would be adding 19 more U.S. cities to its continually growing list of locations with its’ well sought after 4G LTE data service. This increases its’ existing number of major cities up to a total of 74. Over half of their goal of 145 cities for 2011. …

According to Reuters, Verizon will be shaking up their data plans sometime this summer. The first change is the elimination of their unlimited data plans. We’ve heard rumors of this coming for some time now, and I guess its time for it to finally happen. These data plans will be replaced by tiered options. There’s no reports yet of how much data will be included in each tier. If its like other carriers, we can assume 2Gb will be one of the cutoff points. Read more…

Their 4G Novatel USB 551L modem and the Samsung 4G SCH-LC11 Mobile Hotspot are both now available for only $99.99 online with a new two year contract. Several users of the Thunderbolt have been reporting problems while using the device saying the service drops out on a regular basis. These complaints have finally reached the right person and Verizon is working on an OTA update that will be released soon. There is no time frame just yet but knowing it’s coming helps calm some of the users nerves.

Did you go and purchase an Verizon Wireless iPhone this morning or receive one in the mail and try to activate it today? If so, you may be one of the ones experiencing problems with no service.
We have just had a few tips suggesting there is no estimated time of when the activations will be successful but Verizon Wireless is working hard to get the issue solved in a hastily manner.

Apple is facing major supply issues with the new iPad 2, with some customers having to wait 4 to 5 weeks for delivery. Apple has had shortage issues in the past with the second generation iPhone 3G for more than a month and up to 3 weeks on the Iphone 4 according to reports from NPD Group.

Finally users of Verizon Wireless service have had the pleasure of owning the first ever LTE smartphone that hit their market. The HTC Thunderbolt has been a great success so far and it’s actually the most talked about handset still to this day.
