The Samsung Vibrant 4G has been confirmed by one of BoyGeniusReport’s tipsters with details and a photo. Looks like TMobile is going to have another popular device available soon but no dates were confirmed.

So we all know that the Samsung Galaxy S line of phones consists of some of the hottest selling devices among all carriers, and worldwide. Every month we’ve seen reports of how many millions of Galaxy S phones Samsung has sold. Every major carrier in the US has one version of them, whether its the At&t Captivate, T-Mobile Vibrant, Sprint Epic 4G, or Verizon Fascinate. When these phones were released, they came loaded with Android 2.1 Eclair with promises that they would be getting Froyo. AT&T and Apple came together in 2007 to provide the United States with the most innovative smart phone that swept the market by storm. Year after year since then, they have broken sales records and haven’t looked back. This seemed like a match made in heaven, and for both parties involved, it was. There is a problem with this match made in heaven though, and AT&T knows it’s time to change.
Finally, Android has caught up to the iPhone in total users as of November of last year. Hopefully Decembers reports will be even better for them. Not that I have anything against the iPhone but Android has come a long ways in just a couple of years!
We know that the upcoming Android Gingerbread won’t have minimum hardware requirements, but that may be a different story for Honeycomb, Google’s tablet-optimized version of Android. But will it hurt the Android by making it fragmented?
The race for the lead is on! Numbers are increasing consistently and Nielsen has the results spreading around the web like wildfires. According to November data from The Nielsen Company, the popularity of the Android OS among those who purchased a smartphone in the last six months (40%) makes it the leading OS among recent acquirers. This is the most recent recording available.
I’ve used a mixture of Windows Mobile, Android (Eclair and Froyo), and even Blackberry OS 5, and now its time for me to dig into Windows Phone 7. You might be surprised by my thoughts, so if you’re interested, click to read more (warning, its a little long).
Windows Phone 7 is still new to the market as we know. HTC and Samsung both are really excited about this new contender in the phone world. It is still unknown though if Microsoft’s Mobile fame comes back and they become the top dog; but these device manufacturues are getting more and more excited as the days go by; placing bigger bets on the Windows Phone 7 card.
Looks Like everyone is posting their Q3 reports this week. First it was Microsoft, now HTC is reporting gigantic numbers this morning, including 3.3 BILLION in revenue. This is doubling the amount of phones shipped in 2009 to bring them to about 25 million total phones on the market! Not too bad for company who just 3 years ago went public.
