In case there is still debate or question, of whether the physical buttons may be removed from Ice Cream based devices when they start to arrive, perhaps this leak tells us something now.
You could take away buttons and add more screen real estate, which to some people, wouldn’t make sense because a larger screen is much more expensive than putting in a few buttons. Therefore, from a manufacturing standpoint, it’s either take away the buttons and just have a smaller device, or keep the buttons and have a slightly larger device. We’ll see what they choose, but the leaked photo seems to have me believing that Ice Cream will be bringing devices with full frontal displays. With tablets beginning to flood the market, larger screens seem to be the way things are headed. What are your thoughts on this approach? Do you think this is the long awaited, rumored Nexus 3?
Some vague details are as follows:
• Appears to be designed and manufactured by HTC
• No front buttons
• Front facing camera
• CDMA HSPA+ 3G (assumed to be a world roaming model for Sprint or Universal for multiple carriers)

I like the concept of no buttons
I think it’s made by Photoshop, not HTC. I see the clear line above and below the overlaid text, and I also see a weird shadow near the bottom on both side of the screen, presumably where they attempted to cover the buttons.
Until they publish the original source file, it could very well be JPEG artifacts…

It looks like a photoshop to me. Look at the bottom right corner of the screen. It isn’t even a straight line, and you can see that shadow that starfox pointed out.
lol..that looks like an old iphone with its screen stretched…
They will prob not go with a rimless design until they can get rid of almost all borders..
On that note I think next Nexus will not be made by HTC, if anything it will be made by LG..but NOT by HTC, Samsung or Motorola…
HTC=Nexus One
Samsung=Nexus S
Motorola=Xoom
They are taking turns giving manufacturers a chance to make a Google device..which leaves LG, Asus, ZTE, Acer and Dell…
Out of all those left LG seems like the best candidate. Plus they are the ones with the screens with smallest rims actually lol..
The thumb shadow stands out most for me. It’s more at an angle versus the shadow of phone and hand appear to be straight under
I like the look. NO buttons. A hotspot or a hand gesture should be enough to bring up buttons on screen.
