Gingerbread leaks pouring out all over the web!


We recently got word that some owners of the Droid X and Droid 2 received leaked Gingerbread builds with updated MotoBlur. Mydroidworld has shared the leak and we are here spreading the word. This is something very exciting for Motorola Android users and maybe will hold them over until any further official updates are released.

To install the Android Gingerbread 2.3.3 update to the Motorola Droid 2 follow these steps:

1. Download the file from the TBH app (public release in 72 hrs)
2. Use Bootstrap to get your phone into recovery.
3. Create a backup (This is not compatible with new firmware)
4. Install the Firmware using recovery
1. select install zip from sdcard
2. choose zip from sdcard
3. navigate to teamblackhat folder
4. select the file you downloaded
5. Restart phone
6. Re-activate your phone
1. dial *228
2. select 1

While you are thinking about those, think about this. A new ROM has leaked out for the Euro version of the Samsung Galaxy S recently, found over at XDA. This means that the US version can’t be too far behind right? Hopefully we will start seeing new ROM leaks for us too very soon.
