Coverage
The Verizon network uses CDMA and AT&T uses GSM. Verizon is focusing more on 4G which will offer greater speeds of up to 8-12MB. This will also require a 4G iPad. AT&T on the other hand has a GSM 3G network and they are still expanding with slated speeds of up to 8MB. Also, when traveling the world keep in mind that only AT&T’s GSM device is going to give you service, no the CDMA one. Last but not least, don’t forget to check the coverage map and make sure you have coverage.
Pricing
The prices from each carrier, AT&T or Verizon, are going to be the same. You can get a 16GB iPad2 for $499, a 32GB for $599 or a 64GB for $699. This comes as no surprise to us because when you think about it, most people will go for the cheaper cost. Way to go AT&T and Verizon for making that part easy on consumers who are shopping for a better deal based on price!
