UPDATE:
Several customers of Verizon Wireless reported difficult times while trying to order their iPhone’s last night? Were you one of them? Apparently the website to order online went down around 4AM. We can see that at least 6,000 orders were successfully processed so they had to have fixed it quickly. At least, the order numbers went as high as 6,000. Do you think that’s how many they sold?
The iPhone 4 on Verizon Wireless retails for $199 for 16GB model and $299 for the 32GB model with a new or qualified upgrade with two-year agreement.
Did you have a successful order or were you driven away by the difficulty? Let us know if you are one of these customers. We want to know what happened and the details. Discuss in the comment section below.

Might get one for my brother when a used one comes on the market to put on Page Plus if they’re not banned.
HTC here all the way!
I’m with sprint. We’ll be getting a phone from the flintstone ages.
I’m with Sprint too. Great prices, not so great phones.
Nope, Now if it was a Omina 7 on Verizon (Windows Phone 7) I would be…
I’ll be getting the HTC Blackstone but my wife misses her iphone. I’ll be getting her one when she comes up for renewal. Wouldn’t get one now because I suspect there will be a new model during the summer.
*makes hissing noises*
F-NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No thanks, I helped another poor apple customer today who said his Iphone4 was slowing down to a halt. Haha, now all the verizon customer will fall into the same trap!
the iFags will be all over it tho even if it means pushing, shoving and trying to kill for it.
Apple fritters rejoice!! Your glaze and glass of juice is on it’s way!
On phone right now waiting to transfer upgrade from home phone to wifes. She loves her iTouch, so couldn’t wait to get on this. I am waiting for the WP7 to hit Verizon in a few months, just in time for my upgrade!
I would think the VZ iPhone will not have the impact it would have had a year ago, or even 6 months ago. All the time that has passed has allowed people to try Android, and it would surprise me if they still wanted an iPhone. At this point, it seems like a step backword, IMHO. I say this as someone who owned an iPhone, and now that I have an Evo, I would not go back.
ill let you know if i want to downgreat to the iphone…… not!!!!
grade*
panadaman and nstar,
epic and evo beat out the iphone. also the iphone is a hand-me-down from at&t, it’s not new
There will be tons of people that will buy the VZW Iphone. What you guys seem to overlook is that we, meaning the people on ppcgeeks, are not the average consumer. The average consumer doesn’t care about flashing roms and high levels of customization. They want a phone that looks nice, is simple to use, that can text, email and surf the net.. with tons of apps. Thats what the iphone is. And thats why tons of people will be buying it. Granted it may not be the frenzy that Apple is used to, it definitely won’t be a flop.
Just don’t expect anyone on this site to admit to getting one.
I would admit to getting one if I actually wanted one. Apple crap is sleek and would look good with my decor, but I don’t wear skinny jeans so I would get laughed at by the fritter community.
scanned to the bottom… anyone read that VZW only did orders for 3hrs?? VZW says that in those 3 hrs, it sold More iPhones than any other first day launch in VZW history…. sorry AT&T, but get used to being the #2…
I got the vzw iphone for my wife.(she doesn’t know yet
I’m still on my touch pro 2.
