Windows Phone 7 predicted to be a failure by Gartner Inc.

While several users eagerly await the release of WP7, industry analysts at Gartner, Inc., the world’s leading information technology research and advisory company, are predicting that WP7 will fail to increase Mircrosoft’s market share.

According to Pocketnow and Informationweek, Gartner research company is predicting that the new WP7 platform will have a very small impact on Microsoft’s market share overall. Although Gartner suspects the platform will help bump Microsoft’s share of the worldwide market from 4.7% in 2010 to 5.2% in 2011, they also suspect Microsoft’s company’s share will ultimately decline to just 3.9% by 2014.

While we can’t say that the outcome will be exactly what Gartner is predicting, we can try out the device ourselves and then have a better opinion and reason to speak up on their research. PPCGeeks would like to see this research information proven wrong!!
