butt ugly and too much real estate wasted buttons.. this phone is the same size as the evo with a smaller screen..
keyboard and super amoled are the only good thing on this phone when compared to evo
the other versions of this device are much better looking devices
oops sorry i mixed this up with the epic.. this is not the same size as the evo
.. but it’s still butt ugly, like the epic which is the same size as the evo
wouldnt be a bad tween phone
@itster –
Atleast it doesnt look as bad as the moment. Aside from the capacitive buttons, I feel the Epic will be the phone us keyboard guys have been waiting for. Although I’m not too excited about the $10 awsome fee
@itster
There is no $10 fee on this phone. This phone is not 4g therefore it doesn’t require the premium data charge. It only requires an everything plan.
@itster
You really like to compare phones to the EVO I see, I take it you own one…sucks to be you I guess considering you could’ve waited for the Epic which spec wise is a far superior phone. I’ll take a Super Amoled screen and Hummingbird processor over the snapdragon and horrible screen on the EVO anyday of the week regardless of how the phone looks (unless it looks like the kin) . I hope you have a in car charger for that battery hog named EVO.
@nvmyc –
woah woa woah! i don’t own an EVO, im comparing android to android. I own a Touch pro 2 and i tried out the EVO and thought it was a great device but the battery and reception were aweful on the device and returned it. My wife uses the evo and she couldn’t care less, she’s like mikey, she’ll eat anything.
the epic is just too big for a 4″ screen device and the specs are better on the epic but the size is too much for the sscreen size. the other carriers get the better version of the galaxy s without the keyboard. Although i have always been a keyboard person because i use my device for professional use and not for gaming, i find swype to be very nice and a keyboard would not be necessary on this device IMO.
Aleki,i made a mistake
i meant the $10 fee to be the fee associated with the epic, not this device
@itster –
Okay, okay….you are off the hook them, LOL
@itster –
I think we were all under wrong assumptions of each other. I was talking about the epic as well. I hope the epic isnt as big as you say, I always figured it would be slightly thinner, with a shallower girth than the touch pro 2.
@OP: sorry, didnt mean to derail the commentary
The Epic is same size as the EVO height wise only..but not as wide and a bit thicker due to the keyboard…but it is still lighter then the EVO weight wise…the keyboard is pretty much minimal it can possibly be…and it gains a few features as well…
Many people still need keyboards for professional use…I use on screen keyboard a lot..but when its time to RDP there is no way I can do it without a physical keyboard…
As for the new moment.its so and so..at this point though I probably think sprint should just give it out at 50$- free after rebate though :/
whats the full price?
@bestjudge – ” It will retail for $99.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate and a two-year contract (with an Everything Plan w/ Data)”
So retail would be 99.99 + 100.00 + 150 = 349.99 I guess
The evo might have bad battery life but it doesn’t have any worse signal than the Tp2. I went from a custom rom TP2 to the evo and even with the bad battery life I won’t switch back to any windows mobile device for anything. The evo is a very stable device. Plus after the last update the battery life is better not to mention android 2.2 hasn’t been released. I love my evo and not having to reset it ever 10 mins. You guys can hate on the evo all you want but I love it.
just got these in the cage.. didnt even have time to look at it yet…. if its better than the moment than i’ll be switching to it. Gotta call employee accts and see what they will charge me for this…. F U winmo.. i’ll trade in my tp for a better exp. this might b the 1.
Anything non-HTC will not have the XDA-Devs support.
I won’t buy any smartphone that is not HTC unless iphone comes to sprint I may give it a try. I just like the openess of android. Htc phones might have some glitches here and there but they get fixed with updates or tweaks and their hardware is amazing. Plus most phones out there also have glitches and problems. Overall htc has a very solid line. They just need to release more and faster updates.
Employee lines from RS can now upgrade to this phone for free! just ordered mine through a special employee accts web portal. CUL8R Winmo!
