Sprint’s $10 fee claimed by Executive Analyst to be “Shrimp & Crab” at the Buffet

We’d Like to thank Brian @ explainthefee.com for writing this article and giving his insight!

Premium Data. What is it? Is it something tangible like shrimp and crab at a buffet? Or is it like the Easter Bunny, elusive and mysterious, hidden from the world only to show up every month on your Sprint bill?
Explainthefee.com has continued it’s campaign to bring the truth out to EVO users everywhere and have Sprint define exactly what that they’re paying for. One of their latest battles, is a phone conversation that took place between Brian (Owner of the aforementioned site,) and a Sprint “Executive Analyst” who responded to a BBB complaint. This legal recording demonstrates Sprint’s ability to apathetically defend the fee, even when asked specific questions.

Want to buy a new Nexus One? Better Hurry.

As was mentioned back in May, Google will stop selling Nexus One though its online store once the last shipment has sold. For all those keeping track, the last shipment has been delivered and now it’s only a matter of time. For any die hard Nexus One user that can’t live without one, you’ll still be able to get them through KT in South Korea, Vodafone in Europe and in the United States, it can still to be purchased from various retail locations. Registered Android developers will still be able to get them through sales partners.

According to Google, its customer support lines will remain open for current users.

Sprint / T-Mobile Merger Still Possible

I’m sure most of our readers would disagree with this idea, but Dan Hesse seems to think that a merger between Sprint and T-Mobile is still a good idea. He’s gone on record with Financial Times by saying the company is still considering a merger with T-Mobile “down the line”. You may remember last year that Sprint and T-Mobile were in talks of a merger, but T-Mobile’s parent company, Deutsche Telekom, feels that T-Mobile is doing fine on their own. Read more…
