LG Allies with Tony Stark and their new “Ally” Phone
By Volunteer Newsie Doug2221!
LG has announced the May 20th release of their first Android powered smartphone, the LG Ally.
In order to inundate us with the features of this new phone, LG has called upon this summer's blockbuster superhero, Iron Man. Not too surprising, if you remember LG had a similar tactic for a special edition LG Shine when the original Iron Man was released back in 2008. The Ally will run Android 2.1, the latest version of the Google backed operating system with an arsenal of mechanized tech to make you drool. Specs include a 3.5 inch AMOLED display, 5 megapixel camera that will record 720p HD video and a 1 Ghz Snapdragon processor. While we all want but can't have Iron Man's awesome HUD, the Ally does come preloaded with software for augmented reality, giving users a very unique experience. Expect to see the phone steal some lime-light from Tony Stark(yeah, right!) when the movie hits theaters on May 7th.

Nice one Doug.
I don’t get the point of this phone coming out amidst the release of the incredible though.
i don’t know if you noticed, there is a keyboard on this unit… small details
So who is this phone for? All the companies?
People who prefer keyboards with their touch screens? Doesn’t have to be companies, there are plenty of consumers with that preference.
Doesn’t LG usually make phones for Verizon?
@itster – LOL good point, I actually didn’t notice that (long day yesterday).
I’m kind of skeptical of LG smartphones though (just because they’re new at it) but I used to love my LG slide/flip phones before I got into PPCs.
@yankees45us no carrier specified, but I think it’s a safe bet to come out for Verizon.
Be Sprint Be Sprint Be Sprint ……. Well I guy can only Hope.
