We just reported that the Incredible is rumored to go on sale on April 29th. Back in March, we also reported of some possible specs. The good news is that it appears it will have a Snapdragon processor clocked at the full 1GHz, not at 768MHz like was previously rumored. Full specs to follow.
We know we don’t have many iPhone members here, but this is newsworthy anyway, especially since its all about competition in the smartphone world. Apple unveiled iPhone OS 4.0 today with some interesting features. First of all, the iPhone 4.0 will be shipping this summer with a developer preview to come later today. The iPhone 3GS will be upgradeable and will get all of the new features. Click to read more about the announcement.
We already knew the HTC Incredible is showing up in Verizon’s inventory system, but now the latest rumor is saying it will go on sale on April 29th. AndroidAndMe also states that they’ve talked to several “trusted sources” that have confirmed the April 29th date. Still no official word on pricing yet though.

We all know the HTC Evo 4G is coming to Sprint this summer, but now the latest rumor is that it will hit stores around mid-June, more specifically June 13th.
The other rumor is that the WiMax (4G) will be a $10-$20 add-on, which would include the device’s 8-device HotSpot capability. There is some confusion with this. Some are saying that 4G will be included in the current data plans (kylelerner even confirmed this with a rep) and that the add-on will only be for the HotSpot service. Only time will tell!
You may have read yesterday that Microsoft is planning a media event on April 12th with the line “It’s Time To Share”. We didn’t report on this earlier because there wasn’t any other information to share. Now it appears that both CNet and the Wall Street Journal have a source that says “The event will herald the introduction of Microsoft’s long-awaited new phones for the always-connected crowd. The devices, code-named Pure and Turtle… will run on Verizon Wireless’ network and go on sale within the month following the event”.
Even though the original Samsung Moment has barely been out for half a year, it looks like Samsung is getting ready to release its successor. WeRAndroid has posted up some leaked images showing it will have Android 2.1. From the image above, its obviously a Sprint version with a hardware keyboard. Its also said to have the TouchWiz 3.0 interface.
According to reports that have been surfacing from Motorola Droid owners that have received the update to Android 2.1, Google Earth has not been accessible via Android Marketplace.
According to DROID owners, while some can access the application on the marketplace at this time, many cannot after receiving the 2.1 update. This is an interesting occurrence, as previous downloaders of the Google Earth app (Either being a device that was update sooner or was manually updated) can no longer see it on the marketplace, but can still run it locally on their device.
Google has commented that the problem is only affecting some users and they are working quickly to resolve the situation.

Apple is set to unveil it’s next major OS update for the iPhone on Thursday, April 8th at 10AM PT. Little is known about what the update will contain, but speculation includes the arrival of true multitasking to support for a future CDMA and/or 4G iPhone. Only 3 day’s until the truth is set free …
I think we can all agree that Windows Phone 7 Series was a mouthful, and most of us referred to it as Windows Phone 7, or WP7 for short. Apparently Microsoft agreed. According to their official Twitter page, they’ve decided to drop the “Series” from the name. Since they’re listening to the users, maybe some other changes will take place before its launched too, like copy & paste!
There is a lot of buzz in the air about some great new Android devices and apps that are in the works and we just knew that there were a few exciting tidbits that our faithful readers would love to know. First up is a new video, which looks to be a promo clip for the latest HTC announced device, the EVO 4G for Sprint. With a 4.3″ screen, snapdragon processor, 3G/4G compatibility and more goodness than you can shake a stick at, the EVO 4G is certain to make even the most hardcore Windows Mobile user consider the switch to Android.
