T-Mobile Eliminates Data Overage For Some Users

Recently quite a few carriers have started putting caps on their data usage, most of which are set to 5GB. When you go over this cap, you’re usually charged overage fees, which can add up very quickly, especially for multimedia phones and smartphones. Now, instead of charging overage fees, T-Mobile will be throttling your connection speed once you hit the cap.

Nokia N8 Announced

While we don’t have a big Nokia following here, the specs of this phone might amaze you. Nokia’s new flagship phone, and the first Symbian^3 device has some of the highest specs of any phone on the market today. First of all it has a 3.5″ capacitive touchscreen, which is a bit on the small side compared to most newer Windows Mobile and Android phones. The impressive specs are the 12MP wide-angle camera (with Carl Zeiss optics and a Xenon flash), HDMI outpout, 720P video capture and decoding, and Dolby Digital Plus decoding. It also features 5-band WCDMA 3G support that we have not yet seen on ANY other smartphone to date. This means you can buy it and use it with either AT&T or T-Mobile here in the US and get 3G data speeds. The price is €370 without a contract.

Dell Thunder, Lightning, Flash & Smoke!

Dell hasn’t really been big in the smartphone scene, but that looks like its about to change. The interwebs are all a flutter with leaks of 4 new Dell smartphones, running Windows Phone 7 and Android. The specs on some of these are quite impressive, and the images are even better. Most of them appear to be GSM/HSDPA compatible, so we’re sorry Verizon and Sprint (and other CDMA) users. Looks like At&t and T-Mobile might be getting some devices to compete with the Droid Incredible and Evo. More specs and images after the break.
